Guest guest
Some of you may remember me posting about the well care visit that my husband insisted me doing to my 8 months old son. We had that visit today with the peds. I was prepared for the peds to drop us because I knew she was pro vaccine. I did warned my husband that she may drop us because we made an agreement to delay the vaccinations. He didn't think she would do that. I already made up my mind that I would not vaccinate my kids anymore and I was trying to buy more time with my husband to convince him why we should not vaccinate. During the visit, my husband told the peds that we agreed to wait until 2 years old to continue the vaccination. Her reply was that she does not approve of that because she felt it put her other patients at high risk if our son get the " vaccine preventable " disease. She told us that she would let us pick some vaccinations but she would not wait until 2. If we don't agree with that, we will have to find another peds who will approve. I believe my husband was thrown off with that response. He started getting upset about it and asking her which vaccines she would let us choose, etc. I simply said ok to her and nod my head because I know it was useless to argue with her when she already made up her mind. What I was not expecting is when she left the room, my husband started arguing with me that he wants the vaccines and how he would blame me if our son died of the diseases because he didn't get the shots. I assured him that he would not die and I am learning to prepare if he does get them. We're still talking about it while he is at work and I'm at home on the computer. I send him some information through emails like cry of the heart article and I'm thinking of going to the store to buy that vaccine safety manual book. I would like any other suggestion on how I can work with my husband with this situation. I told him that I plan on taking a class here on homeopathy so I can treat my kids when they become ill. Thanks for letting me vent.
