Guest guest
They just started playing a new tetanus commercial here. No voices - just pictures of mothers and babies, and large words on the screen. The commercial has a very quick flash of small print on it, which explains that, for each tetanus shot purchased in America, one is donated to a woman of child-bearing age from a third world country. (NOTE: These women in the commercial do not appear in ANY way to be from a third world country either.) HOWEVER......that explanation is just a quick flash, and small print. There would be no way to read it all without a pause feature on the tv. The whole of the commercial makes people BELIEVE though, that they are advertising the childhood tetanus vaccine. It has a part in there that over a hundred thousand babies won't live to see their first birthday because of newborn tetanus. So ... it's yet another misleading scare tactic.
