Wic threat?

Last time I went to Wic (Tennessee), I told them that we weren't vaccinating and

the lady was really nice. She didn't even ask why. She just noted it in the

chart and was cool about it.

This time, I was there for an hour and a half with a woman with a nasty

attitude. I was only supposed to be there for coupons. Well, when I went to

the desk to get them, she asked for the vaccine log. I told her that we aren't

vaccinating. She demanded to know why. I told her that it is for religious

reasons and also because my daughter has already had one severe reaction to a

common medication (One dose of the decongestant Tripohist knocked her entirely

unconscious for seven hours - floppy like a ragdoll. We couldn't get her to

stir for anything, even tapping her feet like they tell you to do in an

emergency situation. And she didn't eat for nearly 24 hours after that.) I

never explained the medication reaction-just said that she had had one.

So the woman got all huffy with me. Said that she needed me to know that she

" WOULD be documenting the vaccine refusal " . She made it sound most definitely

like some type of a threat....as if it was going to come back to haunt me. But

(to my knowledge), they can't do anything about it-can they?

Then she sent me back to the waiting room and I had to wait another half hour.

Then they sent me back with a nurse....I don't even know what the womans logic

was, but they were trying to get me to lose my food vouchers. The nurse was

really nice and said that she would work it out and that she would see that I

would continue the vouchers.

Then I got sent back to the waiting room for almost another half hour. I saw

the nurse come out and there were raised voices between the two of them. I got

called back to the desk a little while later and the nasty woman gave me my

vouchers and said I could leave.

Most of the people at that health department are great (if only it got cleaned

once in a while). But this woman was sooooo nasty and rude! I'm just kinda

concerned because of how she acted. It seriously sounded like some type of a

threat.

Any thoughts?
