Guest guest
" , I get " Where did you get your medical degree comment? " Like I need to get a degree to know how to read and research. Like I need to be a medical degree to be the best parent I can be. " Had an ORL whose bedside manner training must have included this nasty put down too, so I asked him how many hours of his years at med school were dedicated to learning about what is the optimum fuel for human health, i.e., nutrition. (I already knew that the answer was: 15 hours. Most of us parents do more than that in a week and I bet Jim does more than that in a day!) The ORL was so angry, his pen tore the paper as he wrote in my son's notes. (I had just turned down surgery.) He turned red, so I suggested some prayer, or TM, if not religious, for his rage as both are known to reduce hypertension, and I could vouch for the first for curing rage. Never saw him again yet we went for annual checks for progress to see if I was on the right track for the next 10 years, so perhaps he found a new calling. Guest guest
suggested prayer or TM if not religious etc. I never thought the day would come in my lifetime that the victims would take control and put these phoneys in their place. I love it. Jim ________________________________ From: Maracuja <howdurdago@...> Vaccinations Sent: Monday, June 1, 2009 10:26:52 PM Subject: Why parents don't research/What med school did u attend? Guest guest
Jim, that's not to say I wasn't afraid while driving to the clinic. I parked the car and my knees turned to jelly - despite praying on the way in! I had to wait an hour in the waiting room and kept praying in between reading stories to DS. When called, I walked in without fear, and felt very calm. The nurse who was present followed me out afterward, and hugged me. I nearly bawled. When I told DH about it that night, he said I should have called him and he would have come home from work to accompany us! Trouble is, he is so protective of DH he might have punched the guy as his first, rather than last, resort! Funny that he married me, who believes in the non-initiation of force as a valid way to live. From: Jim O <jimokelly@...> Subject: Re: Why parents don't research/What med school did u attend?
