Guest guest
This very question is what keeps me from adoption or doing foster. I don't know. I've heard both sides: yes and no. many problems and stay away and then well, we didn't and it worked out. Guest guest
I have a friend on another list who fostered and adopted 7 kids from foster care! She is a non-vaxer for her biological kids and the adopted ones don't get them anymore. She was actually able to get out of some of them while fostering, one way or another. Dr. Tenpenny has a regimen of high doses of vitamins A and C to be given if vaccines must be received (in her book, " Saying No to Vaccines " ) and I would have a good homeopath on board for afterwards as well. Guest guest
I worked as a foster care social worker in Philly before I had my kids and my agency was kind of a pain about vaccines. I have heard that some are more lenient on the vaccine issue than others when it comes to your own children. The thing is the majority of social workers are not educated on the matter. I also know that if the biological parents don't want their kids vaccinated, foster care can't force it. (At least in PA) I've heard some foster parents request kids that aren't vaccinated. It's rare but it happens. I think it's so sad that there would be more foster parents out there if the social work system weren't so pro-vaccine. It's unfair for the kids they are trying to help. But I'll get off my soap box because I'm preaching to the choir. > > I'm thinking about doing foster care, and it appears that you have to take the kiddos in for their vaxes. Since you're not the parent, you don't get to make the decision to not vaccinate. However, I was wondering, if you had a child in your care who had to be vaxxed, and had no choice in the matter, what would you do to boost their body's ability to handle the shots in terms of nutrition/vitamins/etc?? > Also, my son is unvaxxed, and I'm wondering if this will create an issue when DHHS finds out, if I do apply to be a foster parent. Does anyone have experience with this? >
