Hello Christie,

I would not worry about the toe walking yet. Get her health sorted first so she

has everything going for her development. The usual things, no sugar or refined,

processed food. No white flour, etc. No good for yeast. I'd probably do

smoothies to get omega 3's in.

I noticed you cc'd to chelating kids. Has she been chelated?

I was hoping someone could have a little insight. My 16month old vaccination

injured dd up until this point has shown no signs of autism (other than a slight

speech delay). Well, yesterday and today, she (periodically) walked on her toes

and (periodically) crawled - (twice each day). This happened about 2 months ago,

too, and lasted for about 2 days and then she was back to normal. I can tell you

that she use to have high yeast and now she has high bacteria, which we just

found out about. We will be treating with mega doses of probiotics. However, in

the meantime, we ran out of probiotics for about 5 days prior to her displaying

the toe walking and crawling. Any ideas?? Thank you, Christie

Hi Maracuja, That is a good suggestion. I am thinking about doing the SCD b/c

although I just started this journey, I want to get her gut cleaned asap. She

was not chelated but she had lead in her blood at 12 months (level 8, now down

to 3 last we checked) and dr wanted to chelate to get it out asap (in addition

to her vacc reaction). we were scared so instead with did oral NAC, which I

think kicked up the yeast. treated that with nystatin and now she has bacteria.

so chelation is still an option should we see signs of autism, that is why we

are on high alert. most of her labs look very similar to ASD kids but clinically

she is NT. It's exhuasting to play this wait and see and my marriage ended b/c

of it. my estranged husband thinks we are giving her things she does not need

and that we should drop it (he does no research, he just sees a healthy baby)

and my mom gut is waiting for the other shoe to drop. it's sad.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about the toe walking at all. My 2 year old does it all the

time and has done it ever since she has walked (at 18 months). She thinks it's

fun. We laugh and tell her she will be a very good walker in high heels someday!

:)

I have heard the whole toe walking may be a sign of autism. I think that maybe

autistic children may do that but so does other children. It's fun to them. My

dd is not autistic and hasn't been injured by vaxes, she only got the first 2

rounds, thank God! If you are really worried, I would see a doc but really, at

your dd's age, I wouldn't worry at all. :)

Thanks, . My only concern is that she never walked on her toes, not even

when she started walking. Having said that, I have not seen it today. Who knows?

I am killing myself worried about everything she does.

Hi, Christie. You mentioned running out of probiotics. I wonder if there's a

connection. Check this out:

http://parents.berkeley.edu/advice/worries/tiptoes.html " This may sound

strange, but how well does your child digest his food? It is possible the toe

walking is related to a digestive problem. "

It may or may not be anything, but you're worried so make sure to document this

along with the other symptoms, including time of day, diet, etc. Keep an eye on

the Achilles tendons, too. Maybe have the ped check them out.

very interesting. running out of probiotics was the only thing that i changed.

in fact, before running out, she had nice formed stool. after running out, they

were mushy again. quite possible. thank you so much for taking the time to look

this up. you are one terrific woman. christie

Wow really interesting. The only one of my kids that does the toe walking thing

is my youngest, and I have always been certain he would have been damaged if

he'd received any vax's. I don't have any proof of this being truth, just a

mother's instinct. I am so grateful I did my research before they got any shots

at all... thank you to my friend who happened to mention it to me while I was

pregnant the first time. Before that it had never even occurred to me to think

about it at all.
