sad moment today with a mother

I was talking to a mother today whose child has autism and she asked me if I

think vaccines could have caused it. I said, I think that could definitely be

part of what caused it, given that their family has a genetic predisposition

(many other family members on the spectrum). She asked why we don't vaccinate,

and I said because I couldn't once I read the ingredients. She had no idea what

was in them, of course, and when I started rattling off " aluminum, formaldehyde,

etc. " she burst into tears and said, " Oh my God, what did I do to my baby! " . It

was very sad. I don't understand why there isn't at least more informed consent

- people have NO idea what they are putting in their kids.
