Guest guest
Hello, A friend would like to avoid further vaccines for her one year old. She is receiving WIC benefits and they have told her that she cannot receive them if her child is not fully " immunized. " I came across this statement on a US Food and Nutrition Site (just found it by chance): http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/benefitsandservices/immunization.HTM Which states: " Immunization records and/or an infant/child's immunization status are in no way tied to the receipt of WIC benefits. " I poked around the California WIC site but cannot find anything there. My question is, does anyone know of other sites/pages that would back up the Food and Nutrition statement? She is in Los Angeles, California and I am assuming since we have the philosophical exemption, they can't get away with denying her the benefits. I just want her to be able to call their bluff (assuming it is a bluff) with knowledge behind her. Thank you!
