Guest guest
WHO Europe has an online campaign " to promote universal childhood vaccination. " , the campaign site is http://www.euro.who.int/eiw2009 The video is in youtube at - in the video, a toddler is killed numerous times (electrocuted, eaten by a shark, burned in a house fire, etc.) so maybe not for the easily-shocked. The messages are: " Did you know that measles still kills people in Europe? Did you know that one unprotected child gets measles every hour? Did you know that, every year, 600 000 children in Europe are not fully vaccinated by their second birthday? Did you know that an unvaccinated child is a health risk to others? " with the video stressing the last part, the narrator (a mother imagining the ways her child may die) saying something like if you care about my child, and care about yours, please, vaccinate. The text parts seem to contain even more-misleading-than-usual misinformation about vaccines (like the Myths & Facts) http://www.euro.who.int/eiw2009/20090325_2 Jyrki
Guest guest
I guess the diseases alone are not really all that scary if they have to resort to this.
