Guest guest
So, I'm in Illinois and have been wanting to make an appt for the kiddos at Homefirst for quite some time now and since my DD is ready for her 1yr old check, DS is ready for his 3yr old check, and since I can no longer continue with their peds because I am refusing vaccines based on my religion I figure this was the best time. Well, apparently, no one told me that they will not see you if you have any sort of state insurance. I can understand not taking the insurance and am totally fine with that, I figured that much and am willing to pay cash. However, because I opened my big mouth and said my kids are on kidcare I've been shot down...they will not see my kids until I have a letter stating they are no longer on that type of insurance. So, what do I do now...who do I take my children to? Can't go to the ped, can't go to homefirst, and probably wont find a family doc who takes that insurance...maybe I'll have to see. My son will soon be going to preschool...he's at that age...and I'm freaking out cause he has been half way vaccinated. I'm afraid they will laugh at my exemption letter.
