Not sure about PR specifically, but we have taken our son to Hawaii (9 months

old) and several times to Europe (2, 3 and 4 years of age) and never had a

problem. I don't remember doing anything special before or after the trip. My

son nursed till he was 3 and it helped, especially when he was 9 months and also

when he was 2. After that, he was too interested in other things on the plane!!

I'd say take regular precautions but don't stress. Stress will weaken your

immune system and if your baby picks up on that, it may weaken his.

Puerto Rico may as well be the 51st state. Everyone there is as vaccinated as

here and the water is safe. It is a part of the US and no more dangerous than

visiting a neighboring state
