Guest guest
I haven't read the whole thread, but in addition to Sheri's advice on homeopathy have you immediately taken the child off ALL dairy products?? That is very important for sore throats, ear aches, fevers, runny noses, lung congestion. No milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream, nothing dairy, not in her bread, not in her cereal (read labels). See if you can switch to Rice Milk, not, not, not soy. :-) I might try eliminating wheat from her diet and see if that clears up the runny noses and sore throats too, b/c lots of kids who are intolerant to gluten will get recurring sinus/nose/throat/lung infections. Do it for a month and see if she is any better. Just be careful not to start on soy in replacement. Have you upped her Vit.C intake DAILY? I give my own 5.5yo a packet of Emergen-C every single morning and at night if they have a sore throat or something. That is 2000mgs daily for sniffles/sore throats. Also vit.D3 is important for the immune system, but not too much. Find one and give her the vitamin based on her weight (the average adult is 150lbs. and work down to a 1/3rd dose for a 50lb.child, usually that's how it works). I also strongly recommend Herbs for Kids Echinacea/Goldenseal for acute infections. It works so very well on my kids!!! Dose according to the bottle. Get the gel caps if possible. Should take 2 weeks to help. And the kid needs SLEEP. Tons of it. Going to bed early (7:30-8p latest) at home with no alarm clock in the morning. The bedroom environment is very important to check. No carpeting under the bed unless it is pure wool (b/c of dustmites). Clean bedlinens and washed pillow (again to eliminate dustmites). Blankets should be washed in hot water weekly if they are not pure wool. None of those pj's with the chemical fire retardants (they damage the immune system). Clear out piles of toys/stuffed animals and dust and vacuum the bedroom *daily*. I spritz the air with a mixture of filtered water and 2 drops of tea tree oil and 2 drops of lavender oil into the air if my kids have a cold. It wipes out the airborne germs. Remember to wipe down all your doorknobs weekly with a mixture of Tea Tree EO and Lavender EO. Is there any way you can get her doctor to prescribe schooling at HOME for the next 4 weeks? The school will send a tutor to your house while your dd heals. Since her teacher notices she is constantly sick, it shouldn't be a huge issue to get the details worked out. My cousin's dd stays home and is tutored by her school b/c of her mono that took forever to heal (don't ask, her mother smoked 4 packs cigs a day and can't figure out why the kid can't breathe ::sigh:. So, I just assume there are no smokers in your house? If yes, kick the smokers to the porch or better yet, the street where the child will not be inhaling the toxins. What else strips the immune system? Too much sugar like in kid's breakfast cereals, too much heavy metals like in tuna fish. Get rid of them if you have them. Too much fruit juice, even if all natural and organic. Cut the juice in 1/2 with filtered water. NO sodas, NO ice teas. NO white flours (try to get rid of wheat altogether and that might help). If you need more help to create a healthful environment, feel free to email me directly and I will help with specific suggestions. HTH and (((hugs))). -Arlynn
Guest guest
I live in suffolk VA and now here symptoms are coughing and runny nose, the fever is better today, but I did give her oil of oregano a few times in the past 48 hours as well as vitamin C and vitamins and antioxidants in the form of smoothies with fruit and coconut milk and coconut oil. You really need some help from a homeopath or a naturopath, to help her get back on her feet. When drugs are given (and I would suggest even colloidal silver) that suppress an illness and aren't curative, the immune system suffers. The underlying disturbance that causes these illnesses is what needs to be addressed and that is very hard to do on your own or on an email list. I understand your concern. Guest guest
She could always up the quantity of fruit and veg and less meat. I don't have a load of money so that's what I do, my dog is happy, she loves fruit and veg, carrots are her no 1 favourite food. and yes, she's big too! Some people would rather pay the vet a fortune than feed their animals decent food. Me, I'd rather buy the decent food and have a healthy dog. This dog hasn't met a vet since I've had her, that's three years now. When I vaccinated and fed commercial, I had a sick dog, thankfully I learnt. The skin problem came back. Yes, I screamed at her. And also had a talk about never giving him any more vaccines. > > Winnie > > Re: Scared now......6 yr old very sick > Vaccinations > > > I totally agree Nita - my dogs have been my greatest teachers, > > and > > at the mo, I have a couple of cats teaching me too - they're > > strays > > and I'm feeding them now - one had a big load of fur missing on > > his > > back a while ago, big wound, but as he's a stray and doesn't do > > people, all I could do was feed and send Reiki.
