Guest guest
I've always passed my rubella tests too and when the CP vaccine first came out, I was pregnant and we were wanting to know if I was immune or not so they ran a titre test then too and it came back with " strong immunity " . I'd be interested to run a titre test on peter to see what his says but as I understand it from studying about pet vaccines too even a " strong immunity " does not necessarily mean anything to it, just that the shot did do something .. it's a little fuzzy now.. maybe someone else can know what I'm trying to get out? The answer was " yes. " How do tests show > " immunity " many years down the road? They aren't showing immunity if it is from the vaccines - antibodies only mean exposure when comes to vaccine exposure. Antibodies after having the illness does mean immunity because the whole immune system was activated and antibodies are one part of that. With a vaccine the whole immune system is NOT activated so there cannot be true immunity. Yes, there may be antibody titres but they don't mean immunity if the whole immune system is not activated. They are only one part of the immune system. You could have had rubella illness that resulted in antibodies, but we don't know now. > I guess I don't quite understand >how our bodies keep the titres so long, or if titres really even matter? No, they don't matter if it is after vaccines >Please explain, thanks! Does that help? Are presence of antibodies the only way? I have suspicion that i had natural rubella but i also had MMR so there is no way to check the difference in my blood? Guest guest
I might be wrong but suspect what they call titers - and what those tests show, is really a pathological imprint, damage or response from a vax which stays in the body. Sometimes it heals/corrects and so 'titer/immunity' is 'gone'. Booster shots are probably gauged according to experiments of how long bodies generally make this correction after each shot/poison-pathogen concoction. Guest guest
Then I'd like to know, how do I make this " titre/immunity " go away? And how do I go about getting my daughter exposed to these illnesses while she's young and will fight them off easily? A few non-vaxing friends have discussed " pox parties " but our kids are never sick! --Kate Mommy to Rebekah, 1-26-08 Baby #2 due 7-26-09 > > > > I've always passed my rubella tests too and when the CP vaccine > first came > > out, I was pregnant and we were wanting to know if I was immune or > not so > > they ran a titre test then too and it came back with " strong > immunity " . > > > > > > > > I'd be interested to run a titre test on peter to see what his says > but as I > > understand it from studying about pet vaccines too even a " strong > immunity " > > does not necessarily mean anything to it, just that the shot did do > > something .. it's a little fuzzy now.. maybe someone else can know > what I'm > > trying to get out? > > > > > > > > Nita (crew chief) and the crew: 15, Jon 14, 11, > 9, > > 7, Christian (7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 3 and Isaac, 2/3/08 > > http://momof6.dotphoto.com <http://momof6.dotphoto.com/> for not > > necessarily current pictures and http://nitasspot.blogspot.com > > > > > > > > Come, PLAY!! http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/nitagarner > > > > > > Learn from the mistakes of others. Guest guest
Yes, makes sense to that point. Eventually this circus calms down by miracle of the body over years - and/or settles into deeper pathology I'm sure more often.....then, it's time for a booster!
