Guest guest
Got snow, got wind.. would be happy to not have either :-) Probably got ice but haven't been out to find out yet. Did my last show 2 weeks ago and made 10 times my booth fee so I am a happy camper.. especially since I actually made enough this year to pay for all my supplies and have a little left over. Oatmeal Milk & Honey was my biggest seller, Clove (fragrance) came in second. Most times I can't give the clove away so I was a little surprised <shrug>. Also my Beer Shampoo Bars were a big hit with woman who thought it would be a funny gift item for their men folk <shrug>. I am looking for folding shelf units - reasonably priced for display purposes and was wondering if anyone knew of someplace to buy them? Thanks and happy holidays! Guest guest
I'm at the end of my semester, so I'm running around like a crazy person making sure all my assignments are complete & emailed to the proper person. I've also been volunteering at my daughter's elementary school on Fridays. I'm actually headed there tomorrow after I leave my school to work on an electronic bulletin board for the media specialist (they aren't librarians anymore). LOL! I've got my finals next week & I can't wait for the semester to be over. Of course I just heard from a gal I wholesale to & she wants about 6-8 batches of soap for the new year so I've got to get those working. Can't complain though because I do need the Christmas money! Hope all is well with everyone. I'm still reading when I can, but just not much time to type!!! Guest guest
Hello! I'm here reading but don't reply as much. Your new booth pictures are great, Shaye. I like the ice blue! I just did what I think is my last show. Next year I may add more Christmas shows. This is the only one that I do (Bristol Mt.) and it's extremely small (only 20 vendors or so) but I always do well. There were a lot of vendors there who didn't sell one thing but they were all new and had higher priced merchandise. I've been there over 5 years and have alot of repeat business. People actually brave the weather, pay the $2 at the door to come and get Christmas gifts. I think this was my best year there. I did about 12 or 13 times my booth fee plus got an order for 5 $40 Christmas baskets. This guy ordered 4 from me last year for his employees and he came back this year to say they loved them and specifically requested them again this year! I thought that was cool because I worried all year about whether or not they liked them (I swear I add stress to my life). Another girl here in Naples who makes candles would like me to do an Open House with her the weekend of the 15th but neither of us want the stress of opening our homes so we're trying to find a spot on Main St. to rent. Most of the other businesses in town are doing their Open Houses as well so it would be a good weekend to do it. I'm keeping busy with wholesale orders and internet orders so I know I'll be glad when January gets here but itching to go again by Feb. or March. I got a call from the museum in Seneca Falls where they are holding the " It's a Wonderful Life " event next weekend. They placed a big order for their gift shop in time for the event. Zuzu is going to be there. She comes every year and I've yet to go. I might try and get out there this year. I love that movie! I hope you're all staying warm! We got 6 inches of snow here on Saturday but it melted and now it's just coming down lightly. I'm watching the news and see that several areas are getting hit hard right now. Drive careful everyone! Guest guest
Tell your girls that I'm with them! If enough of the schools close, I don't have to work either. :-) Shaye wrote: > Hey Katy, That is just very awsome!! > > Lotsa snow here too.
