Guest guest
The FDA requires that this statement be put on all labels. It's the same with the expiration date. They really don't have one!! There is nothing toxic in homoepathic remedies and you do not need to worry at all. I have used them through all phases of pregnacy and labor and given to my newborns as well. Mavis In a message dated 10/27/2008 1:35:00 P.M. Guest guest
I'm sure it's safe but I believe it's a combo drug. Homeopathics are really supposed to be taken one remedy at a time, and it's not like other sleep aids that you take on occasion, or even every night. Does your baby sleep with you? I nursed all mine and they slept with me for years. I'm not saying I always slept well but I think it was better than having to get up throughout the night. Guest guest
I have to second the idea of co-sleeping and nursing. I have done this with all three of our babies and I get plenty of restful sleep. My youngest is 9 months and for the most part I barely notice when she needs to nurse. I wake just enough to roll over with her and latch her on. Back off to sleep we go. My family members can't believe how well and how much my daughter lets me sleep :-) They all complained about their children not sleeping and waking all night. My dd is in bed by 10pm and we don't wake until around 10am. I don't fall asleep until around 2am so I just sit in bed with her on my lap sleeping and nursing while I play on my laptop. I LOVE it! Good luck!
Guest guest
I think it is safe too. we cosleep and I have a cosleepr right by my bed but as wee little ones (to about 18 mos) they end up sleeping in my arms at night. It's very nice. Neither one of us have to wake up very much. Guest guest
I've had insomnia long before my baby came along. i can barely fall asleep and I seldom sleep for more than 2 hours before waking again. i am also a very light sleeper, so everything wakes me. i've tried to take naps with my daughter but i wake every time she moves. wish i could sleep next to her, it would be very nice calms forte safe nursing > Vaccinations > > > Dear vac group > > > > i am a nursing mom and struggle with getting enough sleep, i > > tried calms forte and it seemed to work pretty well. it says > on > > the box to contact doctor if nursing or pregnant. does anyone > > know about its safety? it's homeopathic but still warns about > > using....suggestions, opinions, knowlege about this?? > > > > thanks! > > > > christie > > > > > >
Guest guest
I'm the same way. It's good training for parenthood to be an insomniac! You have to find the way that works for you, though. If everyone's happy, I wouldn't change anything. And if the Calms Forte works, too, I'd take it. It won't hurt. LOL It is worth it , though! correy >>>>>>Correy, if you have another baby, it will probably get easier, I remember with my first, I was on hyper-alert with co-sleeping, so was my hubby. After the second, well, I was so exhausted, but had gotten much more used to the baby breathing rhythems, true alerts, as apposed to normal movement, etc. Yeay, co-sleeping! ~Cassie~ http://canyonandriversday.blogspot.com http://hyenacart.com/canyonriverherbals " We must be the change we want to see happen in the world " ~Ghandi
Guest guest
I agree with Winnie re sleeping with your baby. Some people think its terrible but actually the US is one of the few countries where mother and child sleep away from each other. I have a 7 week old and I get wonderful sleep! She goes down in our bed b/t 10-11pm and when she gently starts to stir around 5am, I roll over and nurse her. I get lots of sleep and we are all happy.
