A component of the preservative system incorporated in Burts Bees Foot Cream is

lactoperoxidase. This is an enzyme derived from the secretion of mammary glands

of mammals. The source is unclear, so it could be from nursing rats, pigs, cows,

goats, who knows? A likely source of GMO along with the 33% potential soy

component of the product's Vitamin E.
