Guest guest
I get migriane headaches and I am new to all of this no drug stuff, so excuse my ignorance. I usually try not to take anything...and at the most I take tylenol when I can't stand the pain anymore. Rest/sleep doesn't help because they hurt so bad I can't sleep. I really hate taking any meds, even before I started realizing they weren't the miracles drs convince you they are. But I thought I was doing good by JUST taking tylenol until the migraine goes away...so why is tylenol so bad. I also took it during my pregnancy because that is when they occur the most frequently (about twice a week, not during pregnancy is about 1-2 a month). I guess my questions are: What can I do to prevent/get rid of the migraines? What problems can this cause to a baby in utero? Why is tylenol so bad? Are there any homeopathic remedies? I can't afford a chriopracter, unfortunately! Thanks,

I had them too I had migraine headaches - from 1982 - 1995 - terrible ones, every 1, 2 or 3 weeks and lasting for 2 days. They would always come on when I had pushed myself too much and consequently had one whenever I would conduct a conference or retreat or later international tour. I tried everything - Chinese Medicine with a practitioner using acupuncture & herbs; chiropractic; diet changes; acupressure/shiatsu; candida diets; no chocolate; and on and on. Mostly relying on an inhaler of ergotamine drug that would get rid of them. Didn't know a real good homeopath at the time. I finally in 1995 went to a famous MD homeopath but that was somewhat of a disaster. No help. I then found a homeopath in my new home town in the Sierras in California who was classical and within 2 months time I was CURED! Really cured. I've never had a migraine since - 8 years or so now. I was cured in 2 months with 1 remedy. > I also took it during my pregnancy because >that is when they occur the most frequently (about twice a week, not >during pregnancy is about 1-2 a month). > >I guess my questions are: >What can I do to prevent/get rid of the migraines? See above - homeopathy it was cured me - consulting a quality homeopath (not something you can do yourself - believe me I tried, before I became a homeopath) >What problems can this cause to a baby in utero? We don't know because no research has been done on this. Is autism related to that to a baby in utero, or tylenol use after on baby or a combination of that and vaccines and antibiotics - any or all of the above? >Why is tylenol so bad? See the info I sent before >Are there any homeopathic remedies? Yes, but requires consulting one when it is a chronic situation. You can easily treat minor acutes and first aid, but something like migraines is more tricky and needs an expert. >I can't afford a chriopracter, unfortunately! It didn't help me but has helped some.
