Guest guest
Well, just wanted to mention that Jewish and Islamic people are not all religious. And a lot do eat pork. However, for the religious ones, if what you say is true, you have a good point. But lets face it, most people know diddalie squat about vaccines and how they are made! Guest guest
Personally I have more moral issues with the ones derived from fetus bodies. They grow the antibodies in dead fetuses. This really bothers me!! > > > I have been wondering for a while what particular religious groups, > > especially Jewish and Islamic, think about the fact that they and > > their children are being injected with material derived from pigs??? > > Any thoughts out there? Guest guest
My husband is muslim (although non practicing, but still will not go near anything pork.) Our son got only 4 vaccines at two months (he is 17 months now,) and after I found out I told my husband about the pig ingredients and he was pretty mad. He has many friends that are very religious and all vaccinate their children and to be honest, none of them would even know about the pig stuff or anything else. I'm telling you, the majority of parents do not even know what vaccines are given to their children or what diseases they are for, let alone the specific ingredients. > > I have been wondering for a while what particular religious groups, > especially Jewish and Islamic, think about the fact that they and > their children are being injected with material derived from pigs??? > Any thoughts out there? Guest guest
I grew up in NYC, and I know that even if folks aren't stringent catholics, jews, muslims, or whatever, they still grow up with certain traditions and it makes people very mad to break those traditions, especially if it is in a deceptive manner. I don't know a single Jewish person who would go near pork even if they haven't been to temple in 20 years. What I would like to know is what would happen if these ingredients were broadcast on the news.....I think it would cause quite a stir...... G In a message dated 9/16/2008 11:25:56 P.M.
