Crazy Philadelphia Immunization Program

For those of you who live in Philadephia, PA - USA you know that the

Department of Health comes and visits you if you don't vaccinate your

child. My neighbour has a little boy who is over a year old. She

has been getting nonstop letters and visits from them. The ironic

part is her son is fully vaccinated but her doctor doesn't believe in

sharing that information with the health department. The doc feels

that this is something between a patient / doc and the health

department should not be involved. I believe the social worker is

not accepting proof of immunization unless it comes directly from the

doc.

Here is my question, if she signed something for the doc to release

info just to get these people off her back would it come back to bite

her later?

I just told her to lie to them and say she isn't going to vaccinate

and they will most likely leave her alone. Here is the interesting

thing, my neighbour grew up non-vaxed for the most part. She was

home-school up until jr. high when her parents decided to put them

back in public school. At that time she lived in one of the two

states that did not allowed any exemptions so she had to get them all

at once. She said it was such a horrible experience.
