Guest guest
NO, makes NO sense! That a Vet would vaccinate cats yearly, given the known issues with cats developing deadly sarcomas at the injection site, it deplorable! And, if she injected him anywhere that can't be amputated (neck, shoulder, side of the ribcage) I would absolutely NEVER use this Vet again, and I would tell her why! New information is saying that cats should be vaccinated in the tail, because they can live without it is they develop an injection site sarcoma. http://www.aafponline.org/resources/guidelines/2006_Vaccination_Guidelines_JAVMA\ ..pdf see table 2 All core vaccines are listed as no more than every three years! This is the reference taught to Vets in America's Vet schools... just like the one for dogs, vaccinate every three years (even though they have studies that prove canines have protection longer than 7 years!) It used to be every 5, then 3, now yearly? Well, she was young. She didn't know about the every 5, but told me that too many cats were getting cancer with the 3 year shots - so they do it yearly now. This makes sense? Let's give them 3x as often?? This is the kind of mentality we are dealing with - she even " furthered " her education after high school?! Guest guest
what is sad is that after one or two vax, I believe they could titer all those animals and they would be immune to all those diseases they KEEP vaxing them for...the vets know this but they want the money and will vax a pet year after year knowing they dont need the vax- its all about the MONEY **************Psssst...Have you heard the news? Does anyone " check " them- just dont ever board them? I would NOT do it- I watched what vax did to my dog- who died at 4 and was so sick all his life- and that is what led me to have 3 unvaxed healthy human babies ) **************Psssst...Have you heard the news? Guest guest
So they are admitting that vaccines cause cancer? Interesting. I had a cat die of cancer. But, I suppose they'd be quick to say - even though vaccines cause cancer in cats, it couldn't possibly happen in humans. > > I asked my vet technician the other day why cats are now getting shots > every year. Guest guest
was it from the rabies vaccine? Guest guest
They'd likely say it wasn't the vax. I made them vax the cat in his tail long before I read the recommendations to do so! Guest guest
Not sure as she was given a whole bunch at one time when I was forced to board her and the other pets. I'm sure the rabies was one of them. I was so angry, especially being very pregnant and stressed to begin with. This was in 1999 and she died maybe four years ago at age 14, so it was quite delayed but she had no other vaccines after that. Both of my vets agreed it was vaccine induced. Guest guest
The original vet agreed it was, so did the homeopathic vet I took her to. He also gave me some black goo to put on it to dissolve it and it started to work. Then she had some sort of stroke, couldn't walk and was suddenly very anemic, meowing as in pain or confusion--not sure what happened but I put her to sleep at that point. It was a very fast growing tumor, probably took 2-3 months to grow from nothing to the size of a child's fist. Guest guest
That's amazing, most won't admit anything is vaccine induced, it's the great cover up conspiracy... they also won't admit the main reason they vax every year is 1)for the money 2) it's the only way to get you in for a yearly exam, revert to 1) Jen in PA Andys Miniature Pinschers http://www.AndysLittleDoggies.com http://www.andyslittledoggies.com/Available_Adults.html You are truly blessed when your friends care more about your character than your comfort! -unknown > > > From: Dawn > > > Subject: Ignorant vet world > > > Vaccinations > > > Date: Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 4:51 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I asked my vet technician the other day why cats are > > > now getting shots > > > > > > every year.
