Guest guest
You know, I meant to post the same exact thing. I saw that article and I was soooo mad. It did not list ONE negative aspect of vaccines...as if there is not one side effect or even possibility of something going wrong. It was totally, totally one-sided. I thought it was very irresponsible. On a side note, I got a free subscription to Parents with a Boppy pillow- and every time their articles just annoy me. The last one that drove me up a wall was one that insinuated that cloth diapers are not better for the environment and difficult to use. My friend said, well, their some of their advertisers are disposable diaper companies...she's right. Their magazine is just way too " main stream " for me. Argh. I am going to write them about that article. Guest guest
I also saw this horrible article and ripped it out and stuck it in my book The Sanctity of Human Blood by Tim O'Shea. My intentions are when I have some spare time to write rebuttals to each of the statements on this article and send to friends and family...or perhaps the magazine itself. I remember when I had my first child 6 years ago, I loved Parents magazine (as I was naive and impressionable and thought Parents was a good reference). Sadly, I look back (4 children later and lots of waking up in the process) and see what a mainstream and misguided magazine it really is. I can see how first time moms can get roped in and never learn to listen to their instincts especially when they have pediatricans and magazines such as this to " teach " them how to raise their children. I once subscribed to this but never renewed...course now they just send it free (can't figure that one out). So, I see this " free " propaganda piece as just another... and effective... way to capture parents and children for life. Guest guest
Yep, " Parents Magazine " is a trash mag in my house... even my hubby knows to just throw it away when we get our " free " one that we did NOT subscribe to every month... it won't even grace my coffee table. I don't want any visitor of mine to think for even a second that anything in that mag is worth reading. Mothering Magazine is the one on MY coffee table! Guest guest
From the " Parents Magazine " article: Q. Can all of these vaccines overload my baby's immune system? A. Your infant is already exposed to thousands of germs on a daily basis (whether or not he's in childcare). Even if your baby got 11 shots at the same time, he would need to use only about 0.1 percent of his immune system to respond. The goal is to protect your child as quickly as possible from diseases that young children are most vulnerable to. Even though the number of shots has gone up over the years, the load on a baby's immune system has actually gone down thanks to refinements in the number of specific antigens in vaccines. ------------------------------------ I want to know what " science " they are basing this information on. 0.1% of his immune system? Guest guest
Just a random question - is there ANY vaccine that is worth giving a child ? .... like any of them safe enough, or for an extremely serious disease ? just wondering ... Guest guest
IMO - NO!!! as jim has posted before... a little bit of poison is still poison. Why contaminate your baby's body just " a little bit " when you can choose not to AT ALL?!  Arianna Mojica-  (UCC 1-207/1-103) ~~~ " All rights not demanded are presumed waived " . ~ Thurston [sPAM]Re: Parents magazine vaccine article. Guest guest
Taking poison so as to improve our health is the product of a brainwashed society. Are any vaccines, antibiotics and other vile products of the Medical Industry worth taking? The answer is " no " . Not even one. The fact is that the drug industry has done a great job. They have managed to brainwash the enitre planet. As for the authorities such as the FDA, who are approving poison for human consumption, they will have a lot to answer for when the day of reckoning comes.
