I just enrolled ds into pre-k for this fall that is a part of our city's public grammar school and they accepted my religious exemption. I was really nervous and school nurse was wrong on some things but she called me back in a week or so and told me she called Trenton and they said my letter is fine. This program is free because it's a part of public school and it's also almost 3 hours daily. I just pulled ds out from daycare for summer and they also accepted my exemption rigth away even though it was a privat daycare(Rainbow Academy)BTW, they have an all day program and is pretty good, clean, use green cleaning products. They have about 5 locations all over NJ. They should except your daughter with no problems. Katarina
Guest guest
Thanks, but my daughter is entering kindergarten. She had 3 years of preschool prior. She will be 6 in October and missed the cut off by less than 2 weeks. It is a Catholic school I am planning to put her into. We will see the outcome on Monday. I am going to feel them out with it before I put in the religious exemption. Is your son vaccinated at all? My daughter is vaxed before I was aware of all this. My other two partially. I was going to send the immunization record along with my letter, hope this doesn't mess things up as well. Re: Chicken pox vaccine works? > > Hi, Jen. Guest guest
Don't feel you need to send the immunization record. If you use the exemption, the previous record doesn't matter. I have submitted health forms in the past that showed the previous vaccines, along with exemption forms. No choice really--can't tell the doc what to put. I was lucky that I wasn't questioned. It could complicate things because people make assumptions. The nurse could assume that would invalidate the exemption even thought it wouldn't. Either way, just don't explain yourself. You're not required to. Winnie Re: Chicken pox vaccine works? > > > > > > > Hi, Jen. Did the school actually tell you they wouldn't accept > an > exemption? It will mess the whole thing up. You're claiming that according to your religious belief you're against injecting foreign substances into a human body, etc. It's better be nothing, no vaccines at all even if she had them before, schools should not know about it. Ds is unvaccinated. Katarina
Guest guest
The school knows where she attended preschool. Does this mean they can find out about her immunization records? The preschool has all of that. She is pretty much up to date right now with her shots. Except for the lovely new flu vaccine and possibly a cp vaccine. What if I sent it in with the immunizations and just said we were unaware back then about religious exemptions and our beliefs changed? Has your son ever had any of the childhood illnesses? If so which one's and how bad was it? Thanks for the info. Jen Re: Chicken pox vaccine works? > > > I am going to feel them out with it before I put in the religious exemption. Guest guest
The school questioned where she attended preschool and I put that down. The preschool has her previous immunization record. Do you think it is safe to send the immunization record along with the religious exemption letter and if questioned explain that our religious beliefs have changed??? Thanks again, Jen Re: Chicken pox vaccine works? > > > > > > > > > > > > I was mislead again by the school nurse who claims > > > that it only pertained to preschool children and children > > entering > > daycare facilities. Guest guest
I would just submit the health form that the doc fills out, and the exemption form. Don't try to hide it, just say " here is the health form and the exemption form. Is that everything you need? " Make sure they know you're using it. I know it sounds too easy, but that's how it's done. If you're questioned about past vaccines, just say " we don't do those any more. " That's it. If you're questioned about the religious exemption, just say " the law allows for them. " Period. Guest guest
Jen, from my perspective, I don't see why you can't have previously vaccinated and still apply for a religious exemption. It would be against most peoples religion to allow the deadly toxins in vaccinations to be injected into the body. This certainly is not what God intended. God intended us to take care of this planet, and all that exists on it. I am not a religious person, but I do believe in god in a sense. Vaccines are un natural. As far as I am concerned, I can't see God advocating them in any, way, shape or form. But until a person is informed of the truth about vaccines, they cannot be expected to necessarily see them as un natural. I personally was so naive about the subject, I thought it was just the disease injected in a minute form, to stimulate an immune response. I couldn't have been further from the truth. If ever questioned, then just state that you were naive about vaccines, and weren't aware at that point that they were against your religious beliefs. That said, I would just hand in the exemption, and worry about the rest if it comes up. Only give them what they need to know. Don't want to stir up something that may never be an issue. Guest guest
You had a revelation since then! Now you deeply regret your ways of the past. etc, etc. How about that? > > > > > > I am going to feel them out with it before I put in the religious > exemption. Is your son vaccinated > > at all? He had other things like colds, roseola, some raspiratory wheezing with colds which started about half a year ago. I will be evaluating him for possible asthma(so upset if he turns out to have it.
