Guest guest
When with a UTI, I have always been told to drink enough clean clear water to make me pee every 20 minutes through out the day. Also, with regard to Cranberry , while it does work, do not get confused with Ocean Spray Cranberry juice as this is NOT good for a UTI. However, there is a small bottle of PURE cranberry Concentrate http://www.knudsenjuices.com/products/category.aspx?groupID=65 & categoryID=275 that will work. Cut all sugars and carbs when having a UTI as that will just feed the bacteria. Also, the Cherry Concentrate is GREAT for Arthritis and Gout ! =============================================== --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Sorry, I don't belong to the OT list, but wanted to say that I'm feeling much better today w/ the cranberry capsules and homepathic remedies I've been on! Thanks for your input all. Guest guest
D-mannose works fantastically and it is all natural with no side effects. Just Google it. Guest guest
My daughter has a uti for the second time. She is only 4 1/2 years old.. She is always having accidents. The doctor prescribed antibiotics I have her taking it because I have no idea what else works for children with uti's. She would never drink anything cranberry either. Any advice? Guest guest
CranActin Chewables!!! Works great and tastes good too! Lots and lots of fluids. My daughter used to struggle with these. Make sure she doesn't have an underlying yeast issue and encourage her to pee lots. I have also brewed the Urinary Tract Health teas, and frozen them as popsicles, and she loved it. No tub baths, as this will make worse. If she runs a fever let it go w/out interference. Benedryl helps with the bladder inflammation, but might interfere with healing. Heating pad or packs on the bladder can relieve tummy discomfort. Get her on a good, refrigerated probiotic. Fix her plain yogurt and add the berries yourself. Poor baby!!!!
