Dear all

If there is someone on this forum who has had bird mites positively identified

as infesting their home and being a nuisance to them I'd really love to chat.

I'm eager to learn more about the kind of problems they can cause, and the

interesting techniques found to combat them.

We are really keen to feature a bird mite infestation in our series. They would

be a fascinating topic for us to feature since they are not widely covered in

the media, and seem to be really hard to identify and then erradicate.

It would be great to chat direct to someone who has lived through an

infestation, and either come out the other side or still needs help in

professional extermination and further preventative measures.

Please do respond to my posting or email me and I can give you a call:

kate.boddington@...

Many thanks

Kate

Dear Kate , I emailed you months ago saying I was interested and would be in touch but I ended up getting a bit overwhelmed by the infestation which I'm still suffering from and obviously didn't get in touch. Perhaps the programme you were involved in has already been made but I would really appreciate any information you may have on medical people in London who are familiar withmite infections of whatever kind as I am in acute pain (pins in the flesh sensations, nipping in the eyes ..it is truly horrific) and because it is not as visible

as typical scabies (burrows etc)I am finding it incredibly difficult to get the appropriate treatment ,whatever that may be. I don't if or when this will show in the UK. This is the US airing. Is Animal

Planet shown there? For some reason I think it originates there?

Animal Planet is a cable station shown on our general service cable. I know they have programs that are filmed around the world, but the show infested is here in the US.I live in Minnesota, in the Northern Midwest. I don't have any idea if they show it in the UK. I know that they do have a website for Animal Planet. If you google it, it may give you some information on that show. I cannot show any videos over 5 minutes on this PC - I only have dialup here at Mom's, and canceled my highspeed at home. All I do is surf the net a little and use email.Good Luck, ( I guess there are two of us) - I used to be the only I knew until the last 20 years or so. Hi , is not an infrequent name in UK, but I haven't seen it much since being in US. We also live in Minnesota at present. Where are you? We are just outside in the Minnesota River Valley.

Animal Planet is, I believe, a US station which is also aired in UK ( & other English speaking places?). I get the feeling the " infested " programme may be rather disheartening for people with bird mites.

I also have the feeling the twist on the story will not be favorable to people here in the bird mite community, but I am curious about it anyway. We have planned a dinner with my son and daughter-in-law the same evening, so don't know if we will be home in time to see it, but these shows are run over and over again. Most are anyway. Anything that has been put on the TV or news about Morgellons is the same--usually not a great representation of the illness or people with the disease. From: "Krys Brennand" <krys109uk@...>bird mites Sent: Thursday, January 5, 2012 9:33:51 PMSubject: Re: Re: Animal Planet looking for infestation case studies
