Guest guest
I would travel if anyone could recommend a Dr that knows mites. Also are there any universitys that know more about mites? I read that some entamologist are not that good at identifying mites. That is a speciaized field. One I heard about was a university in Fla. I think that sending in a sample to someone that does mites would be more helpful. I am sure most of you already know this the type of entamologist the word started with a I did searches and only saw a few. Sandy
Guest guest
Sandy. I did speak with an entomologist at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida, but that was about 3 years ago. You might want to call them and see if they can help you. From what I described to him, he thought I had either a Northern Fowl Mite or a Tropical Rodent Mite. Guest guest
What did they suggest you do? Do you still have problems? We used a growth regulator in a pesticide that we had previosly bought that was a all around chemical. Did you think about sending in a sample of the mites you were having? They are so small that I can't make out anythin except they are all over the place. I don't see them move except some around the windows that are not clover mites these are much smaller. Once we has some fast moving mites going across the living room and we managed to tape 5 but the extension office threw them away. That didn't seem all that important at the time it was about a year ago.
