Guest guest
A lot of people on this site have bought the heaviest gauge painter's plastic at Walmart, and used that to cover the box spring and mattress. They tape shut the opening with lots of duct tape. They have reported that the painter's plastic (heavy gauge) works better than those zippered mattress covers. It's too easy for the bugs to get through the flimsy zippered covers. Maybe your son can help you with that since your husband doesn't want to. Take care, myrtle > > > > Hi Lynn -- If the bugs are crawling up the bed legs from the floor, you can but the bed's feet inside floor protectors (those small plastic cups) or pie pans filled with baited diatomaceous earth. That's what I did with my camping cot for several months, during the worst of my infestation. It made a lot of difference. If the bugs are coming from the mattress, then maybe you need to put another layer of plastic on it. Also, you probably already know this, but make sure the bed isn't touching any wall and that your sheets and blankets do not touch the floor. > > > > Take care, > > myrtle
Guest guest
The duct tape would be to close the plastic only, not stuck to the mattress itself. > > > > > > > > Hi Lynn -- If the bugs are crawling up the bed legs from the floor, you can but the bed's feet inside floor protectors (those small plastic cups) or pie pans filled with baited diatomaceous earth.
