Is it safe to spray borax on your body?

I've been using borax, water and a little soap to kill the mites in my bedroom

and other areas. I was wondering if it would be safe to use that same mix on

myself?

I've read that borax could be dangerous and poisonous, so it scares me a bit to

do this. I've been using epson salts + water to get them off me.

Does anyone know if the borax is safe?
