Guest guest
Thanks ,I think they're mostly attracted to things that have carbs (or at least I've felt that way recently.)I made some split peas with rice the other day. I made sure to throw plenty of garlic and onion in there. Well, of the pot I made, I've only had about 4 big tbsp.Maybe I'll just blend it and drink it because chewing it would be disgusting. And yes, I have seen the mites. I don't know if they're the gallinae or the fnd, but I suspect the 2nd one. The small ones look like tiny spiders, the bigger ones are ugly as real monsters, and some turn themslves into fibers. As for the roasted peanuts, I'm so afraid of anything they like! Yesterday I had some choc pudding. I did enjoy that as it was outside of home (they don't seem to act out in public) and I didn't have to chew.BTW, I try to be a vegan, but I have the sweetest tooth on earth, so I sin whenever there's a party/whatever with succulent non-vegan desserts. Guest guest
If vegan spray all vegs ect with sodium chloride kill mites and bacteria. Using Miracle Mineral Solution In Your Kitchen Did you know that sodium chloride has been used for over 70 years to purify water? Many jurisdictions around the world have recognized sodium chloride as an effective treatment for processing foods and cleaning packaging equipment, for sodium chloride does not leave a residue. You can have that same safe disinfecting action in your home using Miracle Mineral Solution, known as MMS. When you mix MMS with an acidic activator, like lemon juice or citric acid, it produces sodium chloride. There was a study conducted in Brussels, Belgium by the the Group of Industrial Microbiology at the Department of Applied Biological Sciences. In this study they tested the growth of bacteria in fermented sausage. Sodium Chloride effectively reduced the growth of Curvacin A, a bacteria created by Lactobacillus curvatus. In another study conducted at the Mansoura University in Sodium Dioxide IonMansoura, Egypt, we can see how sodium chloride has demonstrated extending the shelf life of raw poultry. " Sodium chloride (NaCl), a naturally occurring mineral, acts as a preservative and flavor enhancer. The use of NaCl in meat to increase shelf life and enhance flavor is an old practice. Addition of NaCl to meat has been associated with antimicrobial properties. It is also used to improve water-holding capacity and results in subsequent improvements in purge loss and cooking yield. " Miracle Mineral Solution, or MMS provides an easy to use, cost effective anti-bacterial agent for use in the kitchen and bath areas. Using only a few drops of the 28% solution with the acidic activator, you will notice a smell reminiscent of bleach. After a three minute activation time period you can then add water. For cleaning kitchen surfaces you can use a spray bottle. How do you use the sodium chloride solution created by miracle mineral solution in your kitchen? Grab those sponges and scrubbers, wait, do not touch them. Spray your home produced solution of sodium chloride directly on your sponges. It is widely known that sponges hold a great deal of bacteria, and are used far beyond the safe time period. MMS reduces the pathogen count, making your daily cleaning tools safer and more effective. The MMS miracle solution can also be used for wiping down counters and sterilizing your sink. Proper cleansing of your kitchen work space is important, especially after the handling of raw meat and poultry. In addition, you can spray a mist of MMS solution on your meat and poultry prior to cooking. It is a known fact that contamination of raw foods with e-coli occurs during the processing. Bacteria may linger on the cut surfaces of the meat from packaging, and carried into your kitchen. You can add MMS to your dishwashing liquid, and keep the bottle near the sink for quick sterilization of your hands as well. The working action of this miracle mineral solution mixture will do no harm to your healthy cells, but will neutralize viruses, bacteria, fungi and other pathogens. MMS Miracle Mineral Solution When you mix Miracle Mineral Solution with the citric activator it will last about twelve hours. This means you will want to mix a new solution, using only a couple drops of MMS each morning, something easily done while you make your coffee. Use this spray throughout the day to maintain your healthy kitchen. When done you can pour the left over in your pet water bowl to purify the water and the bowl as well. Guest guest
Peanuts are notorious for containing mold. If you're eating peanut butter with hydrogenated oils (chemically changed), you're getting a double whammy from interference with normal fatty acid function & liver detoxification. Try an organic peanut butter packed in glass with the oil on the top (non-hydrogenated) that you stir into the butter & keep refrigerated once opened. If you have the same problem with that, give up peanut butter until you're over this. Found I had to modify my diet considerably when I was buggy. Tested each food I was normally eating by having that food alone & waiting for any reaction. Same thoughts behind standard allergy food rotation testing. When I did react with more bug activity, out it went for the duration (and anything made with it). Already eating mostly organic for years & avoiding known GMO & other altered foods & beverages, still gave up anything that bingoed with increased activity & /or emotional unease or physical distress. This is what I could not eat: fruits (except white grape juice & blueberries), most dairy (including milk & cheeses), grains (wheat, rye, etc.), beef, pork, fish, seafood, soy, corn, white potatoes, yams, chocolate, garlic, onion, scallion, raw tomato, lettuce, raw spinach, raw carrots, coffee, regular tea, sugar, table salt, vinegar, and anything fermented or containing mold. This is what I found I could eat - all organic: Chicken - deboned, boiled & simmered with pickling spices (allspice, mustard seed, cloves, cinnamon, coriander seed, ginger, black pepper, dill seed, chiles, bay leaves & cardamom) until it fell apart when pricked with a fork - fat skimmed from the top as it cooled or after refrigerating the entire pot. Pour off the liquid through a strainer & keep that for broth and use the meat cold or reheated within 2 days. Eggs - easiest was to scramble stovetop - ate at least 2 every day for the protein, sulfur & lecithin. Avocado Thai Jasmine Rice - had to scrap brown rice Rice Powder - for the easily assimilated amino acids for high protein needs - just stirred into water between meals. Peaceful Planet (brand) Gluten Free Rice Protein Pure Powder – Unflavored, Unsweetened (they also have flavors & make a ton of protein drinks) http://www.nutraceutical.com/search/view_product.cfm?product_index=4161283 – it's a Solaray brand, homepage http://www.nutraceutical.com/about/brands/veglife.cfm . Quinoa - with butter as morning cereal or like rice with a meal - I like Ancient Harvest (brand) Prewashed Traditional & Red. Sweet potato - but not white potato or yam Vegetables raw or cooked with these exceptions: corn, lettuce, raw spinach, raw tomato, raw carrots, garlic, onion, scallions Sunflower & Pumpkin seeds (unsalted raw or roasted) Black olives Whole butter Yogurt - whole milk unflavored unsweetened Olive oil & Sesame oil Herb teas White grape juice (although not raw grapes) Blueberries Sea salt Herbs Spice type seasonings - such as those in the Pickling Spice used to cook the chicken Oatmeal - limited amounts, not daily - with butter & sea salt (no milk) And ocassionally, after a meal, vanilla ice cream with every ingredient organic! I was disappointed that these foods & beverages were the only ones that turned up "safe" for me at the time - and happy to find enough to eat, even if it did become somewhat boring! I didn't test foods not listed here or some of the less popular vegetables such as artichokes or kohlrabi, nor beans or lentils - so this just represents what I tried & either kept or discarded. Keep in mind that I was simultaneously detoxing internally & externally as well as supporting with supplements. I found this diet easily digested & nourishing to me - but not to what ailed me. My snacks were the seeds, olives & veggies like cucumber slices. Frozen vegetables were very handy - a bowl could be thawed in the fridge overnight for eating raw - and they could be steamed in a few minutes to add to rice or quinoa. Drank a lot of water, hot like "tea" or room temperature. Stayed on this limited diet for 3 months or so & never went hungry. Feeling greatly recovered by that time, gradually added things back in by testing my tolerance for them one at a time. First thing I tried was coffee, which I drink black. When I was buggy, coffee was guaranteed to increase activity. Being able to drink it again told me I'd been on the right track. Melons & apples were two of my favorite fruits that no longer bothered me. Whole or 2% milk was next. I still go very lightly on most fruits, rarely eat cheese, bread or crackers, pasta & avoid known moldy foods like peanuts. For the last year, find I can eat most anything in moderation when dining out without any noticeable impact. At the time I was honing my diet, was also researching various foods. One source to which I gave attention was the controversial Hulda . Her observations about foods & their processing is fascinating! If I hadn't been able to cold-turkey on sugar, would have gone with her advice to switch to confectioner's/powdered sugar as the least contaminated of the processed sugars. One such article: http://livingnetwork.co.za/network/food-rules/moldy-food-aflotoxins/ A Hulda interview where she's talking about parasites & cancer I found useful to help evaluate why my food choices were helping me. An excerpt from that regarding moldy foods & the aflatoxins: "Metals come into this whole process too. They may make the mitosis possible. And so quite a few of the bare metals like nickel and others are carcinogens. But then I did ask one more question, why are some people getting the cancers while other people, who are using the products with isopropyl alcohol in them and getting the same parasites and having the same life habits such as smoking and so on, why do some of them not get cancer? And I found the answer to that to be aflatoxin consumption. We have a lot of microtoxins or molds in our foods, but it is aflatoxins that's associated with isopropyl alcohol presence. In other words, if everybody who has an isopropyl alcohol accumulation (can't metabolize it anymore) and is at great risk for getting cancer has aflatoxin accumulation in their liver from eating moldy foods and that could go to a kind of a familial cause. Maybe some families cannot detoxify aflatoxin as well as others or they're simply eating more. By the time their eating a lot of peanuts and peanut butter and moldy bread, you're set up for aflatoxin damage to the liver. So that's the chain of events where I have it so far." http://www.toolsforhealing.com/cd/Articles/I/InterviewwithDr.HuldaClar.html There's a radio interview where advised against eating garlic & onions since they draw parasites. She considered them unfit for human consumption, as do some Indian (from India) medical practitioners. Will track that interview down. So I avoided those, too. You might want to do a similar experiment with your own diet to see what serves you best. Best wishes, Sue Could you just eat roasted peanuts for a while instead of peanut butter? Guest guest
Hi , A bug went for my mouth once, I put ethyl alcohol on it , then I raced to the store and got 151 proof bacardi, one sip and I never felt it again in my mouth. Another poster said gargling with listerene helps for the mouth and throat Bye ,, Bill From: vaseagull <sue@...>Subject: Re: Help please... mites attacking mouth whileeatingbird mites Date: Saturday, April 10, 2010, 2:10 PM Peanuts are notorious for containing mold. This is what I could not eat: fruits (except white grape juice & blueberries) , most dairy (including milk & cheeses), grains (wheat, rye, etc.), beef, pork, fish, seafood, soy, corn, white potatoes, yams, chocolate, garlic, onion, scallion, raw tomato, lettuce, raw spinach, raw carrots, coffee, regular tea, sugar, table salt, vinegar, and anything fermented or containing mold. Peaceful Planet (brand) Gluten Free Rice Protein Pure Powder – Unflavored, Unsweetened (they also have flavors & make a ton of protein drinks) http://www.nutraceu tical.com/ search/view_ product.cfm? product_index= 4161283 – it's a Solaray brand, homepage http://www.nutraceu tical.com/ about/brands/ veglife.cfm . If I hadn't been able to cold-turkey on sugar, would have gone with her advice to switch to confectioner' s/powdered sugar as the least contaminated of the processed sugars. One such article: http://livingnetwor k.co.za/n etwork/food- rules/moldy- food-aflotoxins/ A Hulda interview where she's talking about parasites & cancer I found useful to help evaluate why my food choices were helping me. So that's the chain of events where I have it so far." http://www.toolsfor healing.com/ cd/Articles/ I/InterviewwithD r.HuldaClar. html There's a radio interview where advised against eating garlic & onions since they draw parasites. She considered them unfit for human consumption, as do some Indian (from India ) medical practitioners. Will track that interview down. So I avoided those, too. You might want to do a similar experiment with your own diet to see what serves you best. Best wishes, Sue Could you just eat roasted peanuts for a while instead of peanut butter? They may not be as attracted to plain roasted peanut, or almonds. Do you actually see mites? I never did although I believe that is what I had initially during this last two years. I used to get the puff balls too, but they didn't spring out of nowhere as yours appear to do. Mostly I got them off my body after bathing. My little puff balls looked like tiny cotton balls. What about cooked foods like types of beans or dal? Cooked and immediately removed to cool, but kept covered they should be free of anything. Make smallish batches. Or buy canned garbonzos or black beans and make a dish with rice. What type of vegetarian are you? We are working into becoming vegetarian.. . will still eat dairy as the Indians do. Help please... mites attacking mouth while eating Warning: this might be gross, so don't read if you're easily disgusted. This is just the limits. today I barely ate, because everything I attempted to eat was attacked by the mites, so I ended up spitting all my food. I'm a vegan, and I love peanut butter toast. Well, I haven't bought peanut butter in a while because the minute I open the jar, the mites begin throwing eggs into it, and the first spoonful will show a bunch of white little balls that eventually will me mites. What on earth can I do about this?!!!!!I did the few things I could. I ate as fast as I could. I tried to distract the mites by doing something different (they can get distracted easily, it seems. but that didn't work great, though) and I started squishing my mouth with baking soda, I bought the strongest Listerine flavor I could find, and I even bought those really strong tea-tree sticks that you chew on, which at a point I can't even handle myself because of how strong they are.The mites will be gone during those periods, but as soon as there's food, they're back. Now I'm becoming the no-food woman.Any suggestions? Please help, I'm so hungry!!Thanks in advance
Guest guest
Thanks a lot for the info. You seem very knowledgeable, do u mind if I ask you a question? What's the best fabric (for clothing/bedding) that would best help me curb the mites and sleep better?I try to wear polyester and not cotton, but they adapt easily to everything. I'm wondering if there's anything out there that they can't deal with, a fabric they just can't cross? Thanks a lot.Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®From: "healinghope" <mfrreman@...>Date: Sat, 10 Apr 2010 13:28:17 -0000<bird mites >Subject: Re: Help please... mites attacking mouth whileeating http://www.csrees.usda.gov/nea/pest/pest.cfm--- In bird mites , helpnynow@... wrote:>> Thanks ,> > I think they're mostly attracted to things that have carbs (or at least I've felt that way recently.)> > I made some split peas with rice the other day. Guest guest
I actually hate peanut butter with hydrogenated oils, as it makes my skin breakout horribly. Most of the time I get the one made right at the store (fresh from the machine and organic) like the one you make yourself at whole foods market, fairway market, etc, from whole organic peanuts, and they still will love that. I also eat a low carb organic flax bread toasted with it, and they will also be all over it.I had no idea they liked garlic. This morning I had breakfast that they didn't bother me with: a raw carrot and cookeed green beans seasoned with org olive oil, apple vinegar (small amount), sea salt, lemon,n garliv powder and liquid aminos. They didn't bother me. We are working into becoming vegetarian... will still eat dairy as the Indians do. What on earth can I do about this?!!!!! I did the few things I could. I ate as fast as I could. I tried to distract the mites by doing something different (they can get distracted easily, it seems. but that didn't work great, though) and I started squishing my mouth with baking soda, I bought the strongest Listerine flavor I could find, and I even bought those really strong tea-tree sticks that you chew on, which at a point I can't even handle myself because of how strong they are. The mites will be gone during those periods, but as soon as there's food, they're back. Now I'm becoming the no-food woman. Any suggestions? Please help, I'm so hungry!! Thanks in advance
Guest guest
Clothing polyester type fabric and the good old spandex. While infested cotton was a problem, now I sleep with flannel sheets and change once a week just for hygiene sake. I beleive this creature had invested ME and I continued to reinvest my clothes and environment. That is why getting them off myself was the hardest but best solution. For bedding while invested I used Velor very hot for summer unless you have a good air conditioner for summer nights, I used polyester in summer. Also I used wintergreen alcoholic and white vinegar on sheets before going to bed, let air dry first. Some have used just straight alcohol wintergreen is the best. http://www.stylefeeder.com/i/n5t2x4t3/Easy-Care-Embossed-Microfiber-Sheet-Set http://www.stylefeeder.com/i/2rly8tk5/Metro-White-Velour-Sheet > > > > Thanks , > > > > I think they're mostly attracted to things that have carbs (or at least I've felt that way recently.) > > > > I made some split peas with rice the other day. Guest guest
Hi helpnynow--BTW, I HAVE THE BIGGEST SWEET TOOTH of anyone I know or have known. I could live on sweets. So don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Also BTW2, at the beginning of our infestation we had tiny spiders coming into the house--I thought they were spiders and now realize they were probably mites. Wish I had caught some. They looked exactly like tiny spiders to me. Guest guest
Short of fabric made out of copper I don't know of any fabric that they can't penetrate. Some people swear by bamboo clothing and sheets. You can buy those online. I did better with polyester / cotton sheets - you know, the cheap ones. I tossed sheets too after a while. Don't use the sheets I used 2 years ago... I guess it is kinda wasteful of me, but I can't bring myself to use those old sheets we struggled with so.L. Guest guest
What about nylon? Do they cross it as well? Today I was all over the place and stopped by at Sports Authority, and saw those really hard polyester pants with a nylon lining, the ones for rain/snow/cold... I am wondering if they will cross that? Later I stopped by home depot and bought two " fabrics " to see what I can do with them. First, I got some fiberglass (the really soft one) and then some steel wool (grade 0) the super soft one too. I wonder if they will cross those two.. I can always make a PJ's with a normal outer and inner layers and the tough stuff in the middle... Do you know if they cross canvas? And there's even another one they don't seem able to cross, but I don't know the name. It's in my vinyl shoe organizer. They died inside of there because I put moth balls, so they didn't cross the vinyl or that other fabric.. whatever it is. Although later I saw some clues that at least one made it through the vinyl.. that was so hard to believe. I have gone so nuts about this that I've even consider putting glue in a pair of socks and wearing them on top of regular socks. They won't cross the hard glue. Oh well.. I like challenges so I will continue trying to find a way to force them out. Thanks for the info > > > > > > > > Thanks , > > > > > > > > I think they're mostly attracted to things that have carbs (or at least I've felt that way recently.) > > > > > > > > I made some split peas with rice the other day.
