Is fungus the root cause of the mites/morgellans we are suffering/suffered with? Dr Staninger says no, it is silicone/plastics forming/multipling in our bodies (and biofilm forming around these toxins - maybe even fungus).

However, some say that fungus may be the root cause. Consider the following points:

- some mites/collembola/gnats use fungus as a food source. Their attraction to certain people could be because such people have a fungal infection that is a food source for mites/collembola.

- According to Dr Jennings, fungus is "is the most common cause of chronic medical disease" This is a general statement for which I haven't read much supporting evidence, so it may or may not be true.

If fungus is indeed the root cause for this morgellans/mite problem, we should consider the list of anti-fungals in the link below.

http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=356231

The list seems to suggest that Grapefruit Seed Extract is the most effective anti-fungal. The claim is that it is more effective than bleach, colloidal silver, tea tree oil and iodine! And it can be taken internally!

Here is another website that confirms the effectiveness of Grapefruit Seed Extract: http://www.fungusfocus.com/html/grapefruit_seed_extract_info.htm

Also, note that the list contains things that people here are using with some success: Pau D'Arco, d-limonene, caprylic acid (from coconuts), malic acid (from apple cider vinegar), vitamin C, etc.
