Guest guest
I got one at 16 weeks gestation with a minimum of 80-120 mcg. thimerosal in it. The brand name was HypRhoD by Bayer. That much mercury could have killed my son, and I am lucky he is not more severely affected. RhoD shots are all produced in single dose pre- filled syringes, so there should NEVER be preservatives used in them. The pharmaceutical companies claim they used thimerosal in the manufacturing process to prevent contamination. And I agree, the pharma rep is the last person I'd trust. If any of you have read " Evidence of Harm " you might remember when one of the original mercury dads called the vaccine manufacturer to inquire about thimerosal; he was told by a representative at (I think) Merck that thimerosal was very mild, " like lime juice " . If you are concerned I would stick with the post-partum shot. The prenatal shot was never given up until the late 1980's, when the ACOG decided to recommend it be given during pregnancy as well as after delivery. > > From the research I did and reading sheri's page, the rhogam shot is not > necessary at 28 weeks.
