Guest guest
I am Deanna. I am married to a wonderful man, . I am a SAHM of 3 kids. Bradley-7, Evan-3, and Regan-18 months. We live in Geneseo, Il and have for about 3 years now. My husband and I have choosen not to vaccinate our children after a meeting with our chiro. My mom worked for him at the time, so he became a really good family friend and I trusted him. He gave a lot of info. about it, and then doing more on my own I made the decision not to. My oldest son, had already had some of his shots, he was about 12-18 months old. But, due to the fact that my ex-husband and I had seperated and I had full custody of him I was able to make his health decisions, despite what my ex thought. When my husband and I met I had already made the decision not to give any future children shots. So, when we got pregnant with Evan I spent the first three months defending myself about the decision to my MIL and othe IL's. It was not something that wanted to hear or liked hearing, everyone thought that " well, you have to have them to get into school. " We had friends that felt the same way we did about it, but gave in to the doctors and gave their children the shots. I told my husband we will not being doing that!!! So, Evan and Regan have never recieved any of the vaccinations. Over the years I have had doctors refuse to she my children for it, I have gotten yeld at by nurses, I have been told that I was a bad mom, I was told that I am putting my kids in danger, I have been told that I should have my kids taking away, You name it I have most likely heard it. My IL's have gotten better about it, due to the fact that we had a family member become a chiro., and seems how he has the degree they listen to him. I am here to get support about my decision and talk to others that feel the same way. I feel that I am doing my kids a favor, not a harm. I just hope that they apprisiate it some day. I am glad to be part of the group. Deanna
