one more reason to skip the vita K shot

Diabetes and sugar problems can cause jaundice for baby..so said the

diabetes education tape they had us watch....

I told dh about the vita K shot also can lead to jaundice....and you

know in a hospital how they treat jaundice! We treated 's at home

with light therapy.. long walks in the sun and lots of lamps on her when

at home.

Funny new mom moment: ped says " OK, a big tip here: if you have a

jaundice baby, don't dress them in yellow ok?! " .. yellow onesie, cute

little yellow sleepers.. yellow blanket even.. but she really did have

jaundice.. it just looked worse than it actually was.
