Guest guest
I'm so damn proud of myself that I could just spit! :-) I've been having to listen to this woman on another list that I'm on who either makes or used to make vaccines. She makes my skin crawl. :-( FINALLY! I got to lambaste her with the mfgs own information!! I cannot wait for her responding post! )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, born 08/31/93, dx'd IDDM 05/28/01; , born 06/28/97; Shayna, born 06/01/00; and Thalea, born 06/24/07. Vaccine free since 1999. My post forwarded from another list. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ <<Yes Flumist has a strain of virus in it. But it is not technically live, and verile that you will be sneezing it all over the place, giving others the " flu " .>> I'm not going to argue with you about this because as you have worked for the evil pharmaceutical mfgs and obviously believe their line of crap. However, when someone receives the flumist vaccine they most certainly DO give it to other people. My best advice to anyone considering a vaccine, is to READ the package insert that comes with the vaccine. The doctors will not just give it to you, you have to ask for it. Generally, the first two paragraphs tell you what is in the vaccine, what was used during the making of the vaccine & how it was made. Then, look for the sections on warnings and precautions and adverse reactions, they are usually lost somewhere in the middle. I just found & have attached the package insert for this year's Flumist. They've changed up the way the info is laid out, the ingredients, etc are listed in section 11, by the way, I just found out that they tested these vaccines on ferrets - sorry, ferrets are not people & would not give conclusive data as to the effectiveness on people. Also, shame on them for testing on animals. :-( I could go on and on about how they are made and what is used in them or in the process of making them, but I won't because I've got a whopping migraine coming on & a teething baby. In this pkg insert the Warnings and Precautions are in Section 5 and Adverse Reactions are in Section 6. Those are always a good read. If after you read all of that, you still think you or your child should be vaccinated, then by all means, go to your local grocery store or drug store because they are practically handing the things out. If you are on digest and didn't get the attachment, I got it from http://www.medimmun <http://www.medimmune.com/pdf/products/flumist_pi.pdf> e.com/pdf/products/flumist_pi.pdf, which I found here - http://www.vaclib. <http://www.vaclib.org/chapter/inserts.htm> org/chapter/inserts.htm and don't forget to check out http://users. <http://users.adelphia.net/~cdc/MSDSwithVaxInsertInfo.pdf> adelphia.net/~cdc/MSDSwithVaxInsertInfo.pdf to get the Material Safety Data Sheets for those vaccine ingredients that you aren't familiar with. If people who receive this vaccine don't shed it, then WHY does Section 14.5 state " The relationship of viral replication in a vaccine recipient and transmission of vaccine viruses to other individuals has not been established. " And Section 17.2 state " Vaccine recipients or their parents/guardians should be informed by the health care provider that FluMist is an attenuated live virus vaccine and has the potential for transmission to immunocompromised household contacts. " ?? I will not just take your word for it that you can't pass it on, the mfg certainly acknowledges the possibility but just hopes that no one will put 2 and 2 together. Ok, honestly I wasn't going to argue about this but I found enough ammo in the package insert. :-) )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, born 08/31/93 - vaginal, dx'd IDDM 05/28/01 , born 06/28/97 - c-section due to brow presentation Shayna, born 06/01/00 - dr demanded c-section due to variable breech positioning, turned into complicated inverted T cut Thalea, born 06/24/07 - VBAC birth center water birth!!
