Whether she's liked or not, she is in the spot light and some people look up to,

or even if they don't, they notice her. A lot of people will hear her, and ask

more questions. It can only have a positive impact on the education of

vaccinating.

: )

oprah show

You know, I am happy that someone has brought vaccine issues forward,

but M. of all people? I cannot stand her, her book on

Motherhood is the biggest put down to Motherhood I have ever seen.

She takes a Britney Spears- " Oops, I did it again " approach to birth,

etc. It upsets me that so many people follow these Hollywood

socialites-

In Mc. case, I don't think vaccines were the only things

contributing to the autism...with her implants, her drugs, and her

detached and unconscious parenting-vaccines just really made things

worse for her child..

And you are right, they make a plea about vaccines, and come right

back with they are OK again..this is what happened when the news

interviewed me and they put me on TV.

With all due respect, how do you know how she parents her child? Thank God

none of us are held accountable for our youthful mistakes or

shortsightedness - we would all be bad parents.

I watched the show from start to finish and I agree - any publicity is good

publicity - they did a decent job. Kuddos to Oprah for taking on the mass of

backlash that is sure to follow. In terms of introducing links and dangers

to the mainstream masses, there's really no better forum (unfortunately).

Definitely! I was impressed with the extent of research that she did about

autism. I am sure that there are many parents who wouldn't think of exploring

as many avenues as she has or be so open minded over treatments. She is trying

to fight and get information out there, for that she deserve a pat on the back.

In the intro to Vaccine written by Arthur he basically puts us all down

with our " internet educations " -- bet he'd think a lot differently if it were

his child who was injured!

It's funny. My children's (ex) pediatrician told me that I spent too much

time on the internet.

That's actually some good points.

I detest Hollywood and every nutjob in it!

I am glad that the show aired though and that they let her speak her mind.

I agree! I don't know much about her but found her book on pregnancy

hilarious. I think the fact that she is very " mainstream " makes her

perfect to ignite the interest of similar parents. And she may be

quite different in her opinions now. Honestly, no-one can claim to

know what sort of a parent she is and its highly judgemental to

think otherwise. She has obviously gone the extra mile to help her

son; and others in the process.

I personally am thrilled that some vaccine issues are making it into

the mainstream media. It is a great start.

Carly.
