Guest guest
Hi , Limeaway is not a citrus based cleaner. It uses phosphoric acid as main ingredient so please be careful using this stuff. They call it Limeaway not because it contains lime citrus but because it removes hard mineral deposits. Maybe you found a new version that uses citrus? Guest guest
Ah, maybe it is the phosphoric acid preventing the biting. Hard mineral deposits. Wonder if those deposits ... wonder if limeaway is a chitinase. Could that be why? Guess I'm back to the drawing board. This is definitely worth pursuing. Also appreciate the tactful way you told me. Thank you for that as well. I have so many irons in the fire in addition to critters (but don't we all) that I never researched this, just went with it since it works. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks, I'm glad to help. I don't know anything about chitinase. My Dad advised you to cover any exposed body parts especially eyes and wear a respirator if you spray phosphoric acid all over the air. Its not meant to be used like that. He uses it and also CLR in his rentals. He totally freaked when I told him how someone at the forum was using it. He also freaks outs at some stuff I do too even though I know he also has this affiction. He is in denial. Anyway if you keep using it just be SUPER careful none gets in your eyes or skin or lungs. Guest guest
Thanks, Tony, that is good to know. I spray a stream so it goes exactly where I want it and doesn't aerate into the air, BUT I do smell it, so will start wearing the protection your dad advised, and tell him thanks for caring so much. Guest guest
Hi , If it wasn't aerating then you couldn't smell it, if that makes sense. Obviously if you'r spraying something into the air it's already airborne. Maybe on a lesser scale than fogging but then you have to overcompensate with a stream by spraying more to cover a given area. Either way we're screwed. I have sprayed so much garbage I can't believe I'm not dead yet. that one's for Lynn. LOL. I will pass along your thanks to Dad knowing him he won't even remember what he said in the first place. Guest guest
Sorry about your dad, Tony. As for spray, I do not coat everything because the critters have to travel to get to wherever I am. I zig zag the streams. . . Kind of like Ghost busters crossing streams. Guest guest
Well I kind of like it that he has a short term memory. I get away with more crap that way and he also forgets about how much money I still owe him. I can't even hold a job anymore with this disease so how could I possibly pay him back. My expenses now are unreal. Seriously if he kicks me out of his rental I'm totally screwed. My only alternative is the x who doesn't want to hear about Morg or the rest of it, plus she is sick of me anyway. I am so alone with this except for peeps on these forums who admit they actually have Morg. My Dad does not. He takes a lot of medications for other stuff it's like he doesn't notice the bugs. But I see him scratching all the time. It pisses me off he won't admit it. I don't know how to make him be honest about this. But I also admire him because he's very successful in business enterprise so I take the good with the bad if that makes sense. About this zig zag streaming. It seems to me totally inefficient. Just look at all the products peeps use like Cedarcide and what not. They don't spray streams but rather mists or fog as recommended by the manufacturer. Maybe that is why you still have an environmental problem even after 20 years? I'm going to tell my Dad about how you're applying Limeaway and see what he thinks. Also I was wondering if you also apply nylar and other toxic stuff as a stream instead of a mist or fog. I hope you don't because I'm worried you might get sick that way. Guest guest
Thanks, Tony, I do zigzag the mixture. I've tried it all, but don't want any more sheetrock to fall off my ceiling nearly on my head, or off my walls, so I zig and zag. Also, my environment is not my main problem. I have actually rented another apartment and rented a car, scrubbed myself head to toe, put on new clothes and shoes, and before I could put the key in the door to my new apartment, there was movement in my scalp, in my clothes, and in my boots. I've mentioned but never quite detailed that. As things are now, my environment is easily controlled with my recipe above and simple regular vacuuming. Everything in my home has been sprayed with this mixture every six months for many years. It is inundated with borates and each spraying refreshes the Nylar. The ECP is inert when dry, but every creature has moisture in its body, so when it encounters the ECP, it experiences disruption in its movement as the ECP burns it badly. My hot spots, usually about a yard in diameter, are places I sit a lot, usually the day after one when I shed badly. When I have a hot spot, I vacuum it, spray it, let the spray dry, and the next day vacuum it again. Sometimes I have to repeat that, but VERY seldom. When I do spray the house, I do it right before leaving. Also, I DO leave my ventilation system on to get the fumes into it. This has helped a lot. Don't even get me started about the gray fuzzy (biting) things that the heating and air guys left in my house when they replaced my central heat unit! Now I know what a giant dust mite looks like, and that they eat more than DEAD skin. Sheesh. My Enviro-Recipe 1. BORATE - Boric acid (I don't spend the money for Dustmite now that I know any boric acid will dissolve in hot enough water), 2. INSECT GROWTH REGULATOR - Nylar (1 1-2 oz to a gallon of water, and 3. KNOCKDOWN - Something for a knockdown. I switched from the Limeaway back to my old faithful Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint (ECP) after you shared what you did. Thanks. There are two reasons I never used ne. One, I never wanted to be rid of the critters so badly as to risk screwing up my neurological system and becoming a complete cripple, and Two, the efficacy was just not going to be there since I had used lindane in my yard back when I thought I just had fleas. My critters are immune to every commercial pesticide and insecticide manufactured in the past 20 years. That means that not only do they not work on my yard, they also don't work on my body. My critters had a great laugh when I used Rid. They swam in the stuff. Guest guest
Hi , no problem. I like your idea of using the boric acid as a spray. What do you think about Buggerds idea of spraying silica? I have no idea what kind of silica or where to get it. If you or anyone has any ideas on this I'd like to hear. Also you said your things are immune to commericial insecticides but the Demize Nylar you still use is categorized as a flea insecticide: http://www.pestmall.com/demize-nylar-igr-flea-insecticide.html/ Maybe it's possible you could get away without using it anymore or maybe experiement one time not using it and see what happens, the less poisons the better especially if not necessary. BTW I talked to my Dad about your technique he suggests that if peeps think the bugs are airborne they should use fogging or misting machines with respirators otherwise they are wasting time and money. He said a lot of other stuff I didn't understand. I am planning on buying a fogger myself if I can find one dirt cheap on craiglist or something. Guest guest
The fibers are so lightweight they get airborne like fliers or whatever. There's also the tiny little fuzzballs and dusty looking things get easily airborne and probably also react to static electrical charges and whatnot. Guest guest
I THINK I don't have fliers because I give them no vertical surfaces to live on. Every ceiling, piece of furniture, wall, clock, picture and frame, or other item in my house has multiple layers (many years worth) of dried boric acid (and some DE, borax, epsom salts, baking soda, you name it). It's quite eerie, but many of you live in similar circumstances, I think. Even the mirror I look in to check my outfit before going to work is so coated I can barely see if I have my clothing arranged correctly. Once in a while, like those big bugs that run in from outside, I get some "tourists," but they don't survive because of the 4-way kill: Nylar (attacks eggs by preventing formation of egg tooth) and Boric Acid (shocks, dries, shreds). To get to me, nearly all the critters in my house (except the ones living in the penthouse--me!) have to pass through a perilous obstacle course: my carpet, which is now more borates than it is fibers. And if the critters manage that, they still have to get across the vinyl flooring that I keep a fresh coat of Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint and whatever else I feel like "flavoring" it with. A drop of cedar to a quart of water is potent until the resins evaporate into the air. So are others. Sometimes I put a little hydrogen peroxide and a drop or two of herbal insect repellent. love, katie From: tonysvenson <no_reply >bird mites Sent: Thu, March 25, 2010 6:26:12 PMSubject: Re: Dustmite product + nylar The fibers are so lightweight they get airborne like fliers or whatever. There's also the tiny little fuzzballs and dusty looking things get easily airborne and probably also react to static electrical charges and whatnot. Guest guest
Hi , I live in a rental I would get thrown out if he saw anything that messy like what your describing. I like your ideas though. I do believe in the powders from what I've read which is why I need something I can spray that isn't messy or dusty. Also I don't want to breathe in any powders that is a good way to permanently kill the lungs. take it from somebody who comes from a mining family. I'm sorry to say that if u have the same kind of morg I have u also have fliers it's just physics. My stuff gets airborne. Just think of a crime scene they always find pieces of hair or skin and whatnot that flew off the criminals no matter how careful they were. Then think of our fibers and how light they are. I was thinking about what you said about vertical surface area. I am a vertical surface too and I am infested. So everytime I move the fibers can easily get airborne. It doesn't matter if they are sticking to the walls or falling to the floor they still have to float on the air to get there. Also another way to think of it is they weren't getting airborne from shedding off the body you wouldn't have to clean the environment. Then when I walk around I am also stirring them up or especially when I vacuum. The other thing to consider too is what about the subfloor. You can't coat that with powder unless you tear up your floor. So everytime I walk accross my floor I am probably stirring up the ones in the subfloor that got chased there by all the crap I've sprayed. Anyway all I'm saying is what you tried the past 20 years didn't get rid of them so maybe consider some different ways of thinking. I don't like seeing peeps suffer that long. the air has to be treated too but for Godsakes not by zigzagging a stream but rather using a fogger. I also when i have the funds want to get UV treatment and whatnot to clean the air. In my case I think the little shits are also flying out of my nose everytime I breathe because my nose is infested most of the time. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I'm glad u told me this I didn't know about the nose bursts. How disgusting. Lately I've been shoving betadine iodine up my nose every day I hope I'm not drying out membranes that way. Then before I go to bed I shove some sort of oil up there, whatever I have on hand. For a while I was using vaseline or vapor rub but they were not effected by it so I stopped. Plus I found out vaseline is totally toxic anyway. I do a nasal squirt during every shower with salt water, then after that I shove iodine up there with a q tip. for some reason it works better than vaseline. My nose is a really bad area they just love my breath. They love my entire face especially nose and eyes and in the ear canals. I didn't even think about coconut oil. Since I have some on hand I will try that too. Yea if you could post the link to the salve that would be awesome. Thanks Lynn, for all this great info. Guest guest
Hi D, I take a shower once a day. I tried the bath routine it was a total disaster. Every time I ended up with worse problems on my face and scalp even using precautions peeps recommend. This tells me they also migrate under the skin. Plus the baths totally dried out my skin so now things have gotten a little better after I quit the baths. I haven't tried sulfur soap. I do like sulfur. I use it mixed with lotion. For soap I have started using dr bronner's stuff. But it's expensive. I like the idea of sulfur soap I should try that. I agree these little shits are living in the skin and body. i can sit there and vigorously rub lotion into my hands and then I see specs and fibers just magically appear on my hands. Lately I am also seeing fiber balls and little white things. I also have one now imbedded under my skin on my left pinky. it has been there for the last 4 days or so. Also I know what you mean about the clothes. The same shirt can feel itchy one day and not the next so I don't know how peeps can tell if laundry is really clean or not. yep, they reproduce like crazy i have never seen anything like this. Thanks a lot for great info. Guest guest
Hi Tony Whenever a bug went up my nose I use 1 teasp borax in arm water & fingered it up my nose 3 times in 30mins , it killed it permanetly. So far I am 106 days of no crawling since dipping in the tub maybe 15 times with 2 tbl of coconut oil in the tub. I use 2 cups epsom & 1/8 cup dawn dish soap in the tub 1st for 30 min a totally submerge & keep the bath turbuulent too drown swimming bugs. I also hold a rag on my face with 1 tbls borax & 3/4 gallon of water thet I re dip in my cut off milk jug of borax water . if they are biting my face . The face can & #39;t take anymore borax then this , it causes a strange drawing on that sensitive skin. & makes old wounds refurface , but with the mild 1 tbls of borax & 3/4 cup of water it dosent hurt at all & kills the bug for sure all over the face , nose & eyes. One poster said he slept with the same type of mix with a washcloth on his face & it helped him .Boy was he right , they soak off & a way with in 3 days , but it is best to do it for weeks to make sure all are gone for good God bless you , Bill ps the paharmacist I talked to about betadine said using it up the nose was not good , he said it is poisonous , over use can damage the thyroid gland said another pharmacist. I used it once in my nose , but only 1/2 inch up , borax water works better thought tonysvenson wrote: >  > Hi Lynn, I'm glad u told me this I didn't know about the nose bursts. How disgusting. Guest guest
http://www.hbamart.com/grisi-soap-sulfur-jabon-de-azufre-3-15-oz.html?osCsid=dkg\ tff2vr5vmbg9q8h1phoejj4 I recommend this brand of 10% sulfur soap- to be used regularly, in warm to hot water. Followed by a rinse of homemade lye soap mixed with sufur powder (preferably from flower of sulfur). This can be applyed immediately after rising off the sulfur soap. and left on, not to be toweled dry. This will offer you some protection from the scratching and itching for a whlie. Take a 1/4 chunk off the lye soap bar and melt it in some hot water (not boiling hot yet). keep adding enough water until it has the consistency of wet honey. Mix in a cpl. of tspns. of some flower of sulfur powder. Let it chill. This will be your skin lotion (to be applied al over your body, after cleaning it (with 10% Sulfur Soap). Don't even pat dry. Drip dry for a while, and then put your clothes on. I recommend surrounding your left middle index finger in sulfur soap and using it to lubricate your anus (to preventun wanted visitors from entering that most private orifice, and making your life more disgusting personally, and embarassing socially. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Tony and ,I guess we all have our strategies for killing these entities in the nose. I also used Vicks around the nose for a long time, especially during sleep. I didn't put it in the nose itself. I did put up my nose and still do on occasion when I feel them up in the nose Pomada De Azufre (Sulfur Ointment 10%) found at Walmart in an area where they have products for Spanish speaking people near the cosmetics. It is usually used for pimples or acne. This was a suggestion from someone from birdmites.org - this stuff works for me and the cost is maybe $2.00 for a jar. The sulfur is just enough to kill them or keep them away. The Vicks won't do that, but discourages running around on the face. This sulfur solution does cause some drying so you can't do it more than 3 days and then let the nose rest and relubricate. Guest guest
I'd be interested in that link too, Lynn, I know we can get too much menthol in our bodies and I've been using Vicks at night on lips and nostrils for years. I use Bausch and Lomb Eye Wash and also an eyelid cleaner that is in a navy box with 30 little packets in it. The packets contain a (very rough textured) lint free cloth saturated with something that keeps the critters in my lids and eyes in check. I use whichever is closer when I'm getting ready for bed, ideally before I wash my face as the baking soda and grapeseed (no reason, just like it) that I scrub my face with, or Dawn, or anything else I use, all drive the critters into my eyes unless I prepare my eyes with something, even just a saline solution or the Rhoto V blue cap. Any eye juice seems to work. love, katie From: Lynn <torpedolynn@...>bird mites Sent: Fri, March 26, 2010 2:47:24 AMSubject: Re: Dustmite product + nylar Hi TonyI use to have a little trouble with bugs up my nose. I use to put a little Vicks around and slightly inside the nose. Have to be careful not to dry the membraines in the nose out. They can burst and you can bleed to death. My ex father-in law almost died from that. He had allergies and was using a nasal spray and got a nose bleed and it almost killed him. They put so much gauze up his nose that his nose was spread across his face. It took two weeks to get the nose to stop bleeding. I would use 1 to 2 times a week. Alkalol up my nose. 1 to 2 times a week weak salt solution up the nose. I would put coconut up my nose morning and night to moisturize. Did not want to over dry that membrane. At night I would put tooth soap around the outside of my nose and mouth and eyes. Now I use a fungal and anti parasite salve from herbal healer and you never have to worry about the nose drying out from that. Its wonderful and the mites get weak if they cross it. Some mites will try to leave the area whare ever you put it. Sorry they are up the sinesus. Oh I hate it when the get in peoples faces. There is just so many things that can easily go wroung when dealing with your face. If you want I can find the link to the fungal/parisite Salve. Its eleven dollars and should last you a month. In Light Lynn> > > > > >> > >> > > > > >> > > Hi, Z3> > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > Dustmite + Nylar + a citrus-based knockdown like Limeaway> > > > > >> > > Plus the procedure I described> > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > TogetherÃÆ'Æ'Æ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€šÂ¬ÃÆ'…¡ÃÆ'Æ'Æ'ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Å¡ÃÆ'Æ'‚ÃÆ'‚ these kick some serious enviro-bootay.> > > > > >> > > In other words, yes. Guest guest
Does anyone have a recommendation for a colon cleanse and will I be able to work (in my cube farm) without running across the building to the one ladies room, lol? love, katie From: "cerph@..." <cerph@...>bird mites Sent: Fri, March 26, 2010 3:08:28 AMSubject: Re: Dustmite product + nylar Tony,How often do you bathe/shower?And are you using sulfur soap at all? These things are living in our skin and body. The first priority is to remove them from our physical systems. Cleaning up our digestive tract is also important (colon cleanses, etc.). Then we need to clean them from our clothing, and then our environment. No matter how well you clean your clothes, if they're in your skin, they will reinfest your clothing within minutes. They come out of our skin and into our environment. All else is "keep up" (and as you alrady know, they reproduce with the greatest of ease). It spins your head around in circles- which is why we come back to this forum for support. It's a mind blower.D.> > > > > >> > >> > > > > >> > > Hi, Z3> > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > Dustmite + Nylar + a citrus-based knockdown like Limeaway> > > > > >> > > Plus the procedure I described> > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > TogetherÃÆ'Æ'Æ'ÃÆ'†'ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€šÂ¬ÃÆ'…¡ÃÆ'Æ'Æ'ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Å¡ÃÆ'Æ'‚ÃÆ'‚ these kick some serious enviro-bootay.> > > > > >> > > In other words, yes.
