Guest guest Posted December 30, 2009 Report Share Posted December 30, 2009 Hi Everyone, Does anyone else here need to drink alcohol to get to sleep? As time goes on and these bugs keep afflicting me i find it harder to get to sleep without drinking heavily. I know I am probably destroying my liver but if I don't drink I just lay there squirming for hours on end. I usually start drinking around 8pm to start winding myself down. It takes several hours from there before I'm numb enough to get to sleep. Otherwise the itching sensations just keeps me up all night. I tried valerian root extract but it actually made my mind more active, so I just laid there with limp legs and and an active imagination. I want to be knocked out, which is what alcholhol does for me if I drink enough of it, which is a lot. There has to be something else I can take to put me into deep sleep that won't destroy my organs. I prefer something natural if possible. i do not have medical insurance so I have to find something over the counter. Thank You!
