Zukes is another one. And there are undoubtedly many others who simply have

stopped posting. Awhile ago, I sent emails to 5-6 people who have stopped

posting for two years to try to find out why. Only one responded, and her posts

are somewhere on this site.

I know of another who was a regular - " Prayingforusall " who is over it. Her

method? Intensive prayer... She no longer wants to be a part of any forum

dealing with this, or to even speak of it. I suspect the same is true for the 4

or 5 who did not respond.

I only guessed Marie because it seemed Buggered was talking about people who are

still actively posting.

fighting them. We learned that it took attacking the environment and our skin at

the same time. While our skin started showing signs of fewer numbers of the

things on it we began to rotate our clothing. Buying cheap new clothes once a

month when our skin was really bad, and then every other month until we no

longer felt the things. What worked in our environment was lots of boric acid.

One particular brand, Roach Prufe, is made in such a way that produces a static

cling effect. This helps hold the powder on to walls, ceiling, etc. and helps it

cling to what ever tries to crawl through it. We also sprayed our entire house,

yard, garage and car with a pesticide called Tempo. We sprayed the tempo and

after it was dry we then put the Roach Prufe powder out very heavy. It took

several months but we began to slowly feel fewer of the things getting on us.

Our skin was healed and protected by using Benzoyl peroxide 2.5 % from head to

toe. This cream kills them. We have since learned to follow that cream with

straight, undiluted coconut oil. With the oil on our skin we now no longer feel

the things trying to crawl back on to our skin. Once we noticed our skin getting

better we steam cleaned our home twice a week with out fail. Trying to steam

every inch of our home and furniture. If you have any questions about what we

have done to rid our home and skin of this " thing " please feel free to ask. Hope

this info helps. Rita

JS -

And once again the discussion about there being no absolutes with this arises.

I know many people who have married and not given it to their spouse. I even

know a few cases of women who are afflicted giving birth to children who are

fine (they range in age, now, from 4 to 11). I know some who have dated

different people without giving it to them.

And of course, the opposite also happens...

Just as there seem to be numerous ways to defeat this, or at least get it under

control, there seem to be varying degrees of contagion. Is it connected with

whatever stage you are in? No one knows.

I would not give up on the idea of a partner, yet JS.

Then we seem to have pretty much the same thing. Some things are a little

different, though. My head/hair have never been a problem except when

everything was real bad, then it seemed like something was crawling out of my

scalp. But that was less than other parts of me.

It does seem that people either have something else entirely, like really bad

mites. Some seem to get rid of them and go on with life as usual. And maybe

some who have this persistent thing have a different variety. Or maybe even

there are different effective approaches to dealing with it.

Whatever is going on is an incredible mystery that is so complex I don't know

how anyone will ever really figure it out completely.

It makes me very, very sad, though, and very angry that so many of us are left

on our own.

I don't think there is a common denominator, though Dr. Staninger's approaches

appear to claim the most successes.

You are the only one one I've heard of who claims complete remission from MMS,

though I have followed many threads on various groups with posts from people

trying it.

Rita found her own way, and others here have also, using yet other methods.

There is even a woman (Carol Arledge) who has been symptom free using

prescription meds (one of Dr. Savely's patients).

I read of a woman going to Brazil and seeing of God (you may know of him).

She seems to be symptom-free for a couple of years.

Just to confuse us all....

Bessie here is someone else that feels MMS played a very important part of his

remission or healing. I have never said that was all that healed me but will

always say it is a VERY large player.

after it was dry we then put the Roach Prufe powder out very heavy. It took

several months but we began to slowly feel fewer of the things getting on us.

Rita

I certainly didn't mean to suggest that no one has anything positive to say

about it; I just never heard of anyone attaining remission with it. It seems

that you have been modifying your position on MMS. At one point some months ago

it appeared that you were claiming total remission attributable to MMS.

As far as Dr. Kolb's site, if you notice her " protocol " is " kitchen sink " . She

includes everything she ever heard of that seems to help, mixing pharmaceuticals

with natural supplements with colloidal silver, etc. It is more of a list of

things someone could try from various strategies.

Personally, I don't think there is a single silver bullet, but a combination of

things that will eventually bring remission.

The only thing I have heard of that seems to bring universally healing effects

(but not complete remission) is FarInfrared therapy. I have never heard a

negative reaction to it, unlike any other strategy.

Bessie I must still enforce the benefit of MMS. I have always been open to new

ideas such as infrared. I have followed these post for some years myself my

membership gos back to 2004. Until the MMS I had little if no success with post

and trials. Perhaps even endangered myself with some sprays and applications.

Alot of what I would advocate now are simply new. Infrared has just been

introduced as the silver bullet, and even then I could not afford it when I was

so sick to buy anyway. Let me take that back perhaps if my credit card was not

maxed trying to find the cure. Cedarcide Orange Guard alot of these applications

are new within the last year, thanks to green technology. And I cannot assume

that everyone here has " morgellons " . I know I had visible bugs after a birds

nest on the house, and tested positive for lyme.

Amen to that. If I'd known about him 3 years ago, I'd have been getting my

passport ready.

Related but not the same is that I was on many prayer lists at that time. A

friend of mine is friends with a some Mother Superior (I'm not Catholic, so I'm

a little confused about all this). Anyway, she sent her information about my

condition and the nun had my name on prayer lists in convents all over North

America.

I would not rule out the power of prayer and God in this nightmare, though I

think for most of us more than that is needed.

Thanks Bessie. I know that some are suceptable and some aren't. I don't only want to prevent the spreading of this things to a partner, but I also don't want to have someone with me who thinks I just have psycological problems and not a real disease.

You are right in that I may defeat this thing completely one day. I hope that for all of us.

JS -And once again the discussion about there being no absolutes with this arises.I know many people who have married and not given it to their spouse. I even know a few cases of women who are afflicted giving birth to children who are fine (they range in age, now, from 4 to 11). I know some who have dated different people without giving it to them. And of course, the opposite also happens...Just as there seem to be numerous ways to defeat this, or at least get it under control, there seem to be varying degrees of contagion. My 2 cents, for what its worth. I haven't posted in awhile as I feel my

environment is under control. I am grateful for all of the advice on this forum.

I *DO* believe we can rid ourselves of this mess! I don't believe that this is

something we have to live with the rest of our lives. I do want to mention that

my immediate family and pet never got this from me nor did any other family

member or person I have spent time with. I am well enough now and not worried

about spreading it to anyone. I did ozone my environment toward the beginning of

this mess, which I believe did help.

I posted quite heavily last summer. My problems started after a trip to the

tropics. I had some mold exposure during my hotel stay, and I came back home not

feeling well. Turns out I had a sinus infection and the docs ended up giving me

several rounds of antibiotics for this " infection " . I ended up with a systematic

candida infection and M symptoms came soon after. I had black specks/threads,

white specks, white fuzzballs, rashes stinging, biting, crawling, and bugs. My

bugs were springtails and gnats, and I had the white larva things in my skin.

I went to a naturopath who started me on supplements and natural antifungals. I

started lots of skin treatments on my own. I realized that I had some kind of

mold/fungal/yeast overgrowth on my skin.. this is what must have been attracting

the springtails and gnats. It would also make people itch when they were around

me.

I later discovered that my shower heads had black mold in them and wonder if

this is where a lot of my problems came from.

I used lots of treatment baths, and topical treatments, including olive

oil+DE+tea tree oil, esp skin balm, esp soap, dsp cream, olive oil + eucalyptus

oil, and a barley treatment that I found on lymebusters.

After months of treatments, I finally was free of the stinging, biting,

crawling, and bugs... the symptoms I have left were still some black

specks/threads in my pores and the white larva things and the sandlike grains..

though these have greatly been reduced. I feel if I can completely rid myself of

the fungus, the white larva things will go away.

I spent more time treating myself as opposed to the environment, but I did

follow a laundry protocol that I'm still using.. I am not cleaning daily. I

still use the esp balm, some topical treatments at night, and occasionally, a

treatment bath.

Internally, I thought I was feeling fairly well. I found a new doctor - an MD

who practiced holistic medicine. It turns out that I was still fairly ill.

My lab tests revealed:

- My liver phase I pathway was operating too fast and the phase II pathway too

slow, causing toxins to build up in my body

- a slight problem with my thyroid

- a moderate mold/fungal overgrowth along with pathogenic bacteria in my gut.

Yeast was also detected.

- I was intolerant to about 80 foods. This was causing rashes on my skin and

keeping my immune system busy.

- I was loaded with heavy metals, especially barium and lead. My heavy metal

challenge test also revealed that I had 0 vitamin b12 in my body tissues.

So, I'm on lots of supplements/vitamins (including liver detox, multivitamin,

L-glutamine for gut repair and megadoses of vitamin C) and natural antifungals.

I'm on the anti-candida diet and trying to avoid the foods I'm intolerant of.

I'm also chelating out the metal and taking vitamin B12 shots. Since taking the

shots, I've had more itching and more purging of specks/threads.. but I feel

like its helping and I'm feeling better and better every day. I have never taken

MMS or silver internally, and I've gotten better in spite of that. I thought I

would mention that.

ANYWAY.. sorry this is long, but I believe the key to getting well for some of

us (with " M " ) is to get to the bottom of why our bodies broke down in the first

place. I know a lot of people here have mites without " M " . I believe my bugs

were related to the fungus/yeast on my skin which had overgrown during my total

body breakdown.

Getting well is a slow process, but I'm grateful that my doc could identify

things we need to fix. I am confident that I will be free of this scourge one

day and there is hope for all of us.

As a side note, on the following site: http://howicuredmorgellons.com/myforum/,

people are finding Morgellons-friendly doctors, doing Great Plains Lab testing

(http://www.greatplainslaboratory.com/home/eng/stool.asp), and people are

getting better...!

I hope that this post can help someone. Thanks all and God bless...

the same time. While our skin started showing signs of fewer numbers of the

things on it we began to rotate our clothing. Buying cheap new clothes once a

month when our skin was really bad, and then every other month until we no

Rita

Hi Lynn -

I am so glad you are doing better. I know how frightening it is to be a newbie.

When I got my current doc in October, I wasn't sure how she would respond when I

told her I had similar symptoms as people with " M " .. she thought she had heard

of it before, but she did a quick internet search, and a minute later looked at

me and told me something to the effect as " the symptoms might be similar, but

these people are all suffering from undiagnosed illness " . I tend to believe

her. There is a reason why my body broke down. My doc didn't need to know

anything about M in order to get me on the path to wellness.

This disease certainly is scary. It is especially scary to not have any idea

what you are fighting. Yes, there is still a great mystery surrounding the

fibers and larva things and a host of other things, but when I realized that I

likely had a fungal overgrowth on my skin that was causing the bugs, it was

clear to me what my first goal should be. Outward treatments alone aren't enough

though. If you can't get your body back into fighting shape internally, fungus

and yeast will continue to proliferate on the skin.

I think that some pets get this and some pets don't for the same reason that

some people get this and others don't. I feel that the immune system plays an

important part, but environmental exposure is also a factor. If there is a

heavily contaminated environment (mold), a greater percentage of people/pets may

contract the illness.

My husband and I both share the same environment, were both exposed to mold on

our vacation, eat the same foods, bathe in the same water, yet I got sick and he

did not. Things that were not necessarily common between us was our exposure to

toxins since birth (metals, pesticides) and our lifestyle. I had a problem for

many years with food bingeing (encourages candida growth), poor nutrition, lots

of stress, hormone imbalances, and I had a long history of antibiotic use

(decreases good flora) since I was a child (lots of ear infections, sinus

infections, and UTIs). All of this would make a difference in our bodies'

abilities to fight infection. Also, our bodies' ability to detox out toxins

would also be a difference between us. Eventually, my gut infections caused

nutritional deficiencies and food intolerances, which further prevented my body

from healing.

My husband and I were both were showering in black mold which we found in the

showerheads. He felt some itching due to it.. used some antifungal shampoo and

recovered quickly. With me, it just grew in my pores and I had to bathe in

treatment baths to try to purge this stuff out, but it continued to regrow.

I believe that diet is important as well.. I'm not quite sure yet what to think

about the GMO part of it. I don't feel there is any one thing responsible for

this. I think that we all become open to many different types of opportunistic

infections though, and it's a good idea to stay away from GMO foods as we don't

know what long-term effects they will have on the body.

Most manufactured food for dogs contains corn as the first ingredient because it

is a cheap filler and not very nutritious. These foods also contain very cheap

cuts of protein and other cheap ingredients that wouldn't be fed to humans. The

body needs good nutrition to stay healthy! My dog gets fed a food which contains

no corn or wheat, and supposedly has human-grade ingredients and protein as the

first ingredient. I would like to think this is a factor in keeping her healthy,

but there are so many factors there, I'm not sure.

is something we have to live with the rest of our lives. I do want to mention

that my immediate family and pet never got this from me nor did any other family

member or person I have spent time with. I am well enough now and not worried

about spreading it to anyone. I did ozone my environment toward the beginning of

this mess, which I believe did help.

Thank You,Lynn for thinking of GMO food in pet food...last night I got some

mites out of my cats ear...not standard ear mites but He feels better and nit

combed Him but think the mites were in the ears...Biggy likes coconut oil so

Hi Lintbug

I love your post and even though I am almost well myself doing alot of the same

things I find great comfort in reading of success by others. It makes the dease

not so scary and when you are a newby and scared out of your mind it helps bring

hope.

The pet issue really is a big interest to me and I mull that around and wonder

if the reason some pets do not get this while other do are what type of diet did

the pet have. Also like people different body types with different strengths and

weaknesses. I almost think the emmune system may not be a big thing on this

because I believe my husbands emmune system is weaker than mine and he spent

alot of time in the same places as me, but I did for longer durations. On the

pets that were infected. Was the food containing corn or high sugar contents or

a higher expensive diet with flax with not wheat and corn. Did the animals eat

the same foods as the people. People love to feed animals from their plate. I

use to have a dog long ago I would take out for an icecream cone. I got one and

she got one. We would sit in the cab of my truck slurping away on a hot Arizona

day.

Cows are fed corn. GMO corn??? Than we drink their milk. I was a huge milk,

cheese, and bread and butter eater. Now I avoid those. Wonder if the animals

inflicted were big milk, or cheese eaters. Would be interesting to poll animals

diet and compare the difference of those whom suffered with this and those whom

were free from it. My gut tells me it was their diet along with the exposure to

the molds and things that gets alot of us this nightmare.

I'm so grateful that my husband is not sick. He didn't believe much of what I

told him, so if he was ill, he would just ignore it and this might delay my

healing in some ways. I agree with you... I wouldn't wish this on my worst

enemy! I'm glad your husband is finally coming around !

I'm not completely well yet. Most of my tests were done in Oct-Dec of this year.

My doc preferred to do natural antifungals rather than prescription, so it will

take time. My skin is *so* much better, but I'm still pulling a few small larva

and sandlike grains from the skin. Small black threads can be rubbed out as well

at times. My skin is also broken out with some acne, especially on the face,

chest, back, and stomach areas. I'm probably still dealing with a yeast

overgrowth in these areas.

I started taking B12 shots last month, and I initially started feeling worse!

More itching, purging, and brain fog. I think its a healing crisis I'm going

through.

I still have food intolerances, though it doesn't seem to be as severe as a few

months ago. I'm still chelating out metal. I have another 3 months to go before

retesting to see where I'm at with that. My doc also wants me to do some IV

Vitamin C, which I will do more of soon.

I was at my worst last June, so I feel I've come a long way since then. Other

than the loads of supplements I take, and my morning and nightly routine, my

life is pretty normal. My morning routine only consists of a shower and

application of the ESP II balm while the nightime routine is just an application

of some antifungal concoction for the skin before bedtime. I take

detoxing/treatment baths when I can.. though I haven't had any time to do so

lately. I try to get to the infrared sauna and do an Ionic foot bath once a

week.

Am curious to know what your recommendations are for vacuuming (machines and/or

techniques) and spraying.

thanks

Same here. With all those bugs in your home, what SPECIFICALLY did you do to get

rid of them? I'm not talking about all the internals you took as you've

expounded on them enough. Just tell us what you did to eradicate them from the

home proper. That means:

- specific sprays

- specific vacuum(s) model

To Rose, Lynn, and others with cat experience - I have what looks like a young,

starving siamese kitty hanging out on my back porch. Very skittish and maybe

feral. Would you cat ladies suggest I take this cat in? Would like to help it

but am obviously concerned about spreading my disease to another warm blooded

creature. On the other hand I know cats like this aren't the best adoption

material and live short lives in the streets.
