Guest guest
Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. We learned that it took attacking the environment and our skin at the same time. While our skin started showing signs of fewer numbers of the things on it we began to rotate our clothing. Buying cheap new clothes once a month when our skin was really bad, and then every other month until we no longer felt the things. What worked in our environment was lots of boric acid. One particular brand, Roach Prufe, is made in such a way that produces a static cling effect. This helps hold the powder on to walls, ceiling, etc. and helps it cling to what ever tries to crawl through it. We also sprayed our entire house, yard, garage and car with a pesticide called Tempo. We sprayed the tempo and after it was dry we then put the Roach Prufe powder out very heavy. It took several months but we began to slowly feel fewer of the things getting on us. Our skin was healed and protected by using Benzoyl peroxide 2.5 % from head to toe. This cream kills them. We have since learned to follow that cream with straight, undiluted coconut oil. With the oil on our skin we now no longer feel the things trying to crawl back on to our skin. Once we noticed our skin getting better we steam cleaned our home twice a week with out fail. Trying to steam every inch of our home and furniture. If you have any questions about what we have done to rid our home and skin of this "thing" please feel free to ask. Hope this info helps. Rita Has anyone completely gotten rid of this curse? Hi all.. I was just wondering today if anyone in this community has completely freed themselfs from this mites?. It would be really encouraging to know how they pulled it off in there cleaning routine.. am really worried that i'll never get rid of them. Were moving back to california in a couple months and I remember reading on the birmite.org forum some rich guy bought a new house starting from scratch and showered for a couple days before going to his new house and that's how he freed himself of this nightmare.Am hoping I can do the same I plan to throw away all my belongings and clothes and buy some new clothes once I reach the new house throw away what I have on shower for a few hours in hot water using borax then hoping they wont tag on to me, I'll be living in a guest house so whatever my family takes with them I wont be coming in contact with I hope it works out for me I can't this anymore. Guest guest
I don't know if boric acid would hurt animals. I have read where people have used the powder in animals bedding in dog runs. I know the instructions on the Tempo say that once it's dry animals can be let back in to the house. Before I used the Roach Prufe I tried dusting my house very heavily with Sevin Dust. I put it on my two little dogs and the floors were covered with it. We watched our dogs for 3 days and they showed no symptoms of poisoning. When you use pesticides you have to be careful but so far we have not had any bad results using any type of powder. Guest guest
That is what you said after two years and after three years. Just because you think you have bug populations in control does not mean you have rid yourself of the bugs. They obviously keep on coming back. Roach Prufe is not the answer neither is large amounts of bleach and epsom salt. > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. Guest guest
Hi Rose, Yes, boric acid will hurt animals. It will also hurt you. It messes with you vision, your skin, and your lungs. You have already lost one animal do you really want to lose another one? Cats are very sensitive to poisons. A safe way to treat pets is lyme and sulfur dips or the recommended dosage of advantage. Boric acid is great at killing bugs. It is also great at killing you. The dumbest thing I ever did was putting roache prufe over my apartment. It just made the bugs worse. They became more attracted to me. Building up a strong immune system is important for fighting them, not bring what you have already down. - > > From: " Rita and Mike Carlson " <m.r.carlson@...> > <bird mites > > Subject: Re: Has anyone completely gotten rid of this curse? > Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 21:59:50 -0600 > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. Guest guest
Well bless your heart......maybe I need to be more clear...........we no longer have any thing on our skin any more. We do feel the "things" when we go out to certain places like waiting rooms, hospitals, etc......but our skin never reacts to the "things" any more. We never feel them in our home, car or basement. We seem to have killed them out. You are wrong....what worked for us was the Roach Prufe and the Tempo.....along with the Bp on the skin. Our yard was a major problem. We had to get something out there so that we did not track the things back in to our home. The Tempo seems to have worked in that area. Some have had good success with heat treating. Some with ozone and extremely heavy duty cleaning. If it has not worked for you then you obviously have something different on your skin. Guest guest
Awesome great I was beginning to lose hope now I know I have a fighting chance definitely gonna give the propane heater a shot in my new place just to make sure they don't tag along in the move. Nobody in my family seems to feel them except for me but I think my mother is starting to get the crawling feeling now atleast we have some valuable info to really combat this things from diffrent angles and hopefully have an upper hand thanks everyone for your help. Guest guest
I've had similar observations, but not just in this case. I've seen at least one other member claiming to be " free " of the curse. Well, if you're still getting buggered, wherever and whenever it happens to be - you ain't over it sweets. Big difference between eradicating organisms from the home environment and being completely free of the curse. Focus on the thread-starter's use of the word COMPLETELY. To claim complete victory while admitting to still getting bit by these organisms is an absurd contradiction. And for those on internals, if you still have to follow protocol you didn't before this curse hit, you ain't over it either. Yeah, you may be in a remission of sorts, but the moment you lapse on your expensive or complex regimen, the organisms regain their foothold. Call me a cynic, a pessimist, if you will. I am of the mind once these organisms are allowed to reach critical mass on/in the body the problem changes from one of bird mite parasitism to systemic disease - otherwise known as Morgellons. If you have any questions about what we have done to rid our home and skin of this " thing " please feel free to ask. Hope this info helps. Guest guest
Buggered - You raise one of the more perplexing issues with this. I don't know if I am the other person you refer to, or if it is Marie. First, I agree with most of what you say (at least in my own case). I had what seemed to be a bird mite infestation. At the time, it seemed to be " the beginning " . Actually, it was the beginning of symptoms so unusual that I couldn't explain them away or ignore them. As you say, it turned into Morgellons. But did it really " turn into " or were the " bird mites " actually a stage of a slowly progressing Morgellons that had been with me for at least several years prior to the mitemare? I think it was an " all hell broke loose " stage. That was the summer of 2007. Yet I had been unable to continue working at the end of 2004. After struggling at my career for a few years, becoming more and more tired, forgetful, joint pain and deformity, along with some more subtle symptoms, I threw in the towel and took a disability retirement. And now to the present. I also agree that if I am still following a protocol that it is not " over " . It is my belief that Morgellons is incurable, though I acknowledge that sometimes spontaneous remissions appear to occur. I know in at least some cases that " relapses " occur in these cases; I have no way of knowing whether some remissions stay that way since those people don't come back to tell their story. I do not experience biting no matter where I go. I've been involved in the Morgellons support group in Tampa for a year and a half, and have never " relapsed " from being around people who are sometimes in very bad condition. (I have gotten some mosquito bites from playing golf at dusk - completely normal). To sum it up, I continue to follow a maintenance protocol that includes Opaline dry oxy caps, Far Infrared, Willard's Water, and rotating colon health regimens. I also take a variety of supplements, some pulsed, some rotated. I eat as healthy as I can stand to (mostly organic). For the environment, I do routine cleaning using non-toxic cleaners (especially enzyme-base or orange oil). But I am careful about air quality by using ionizers, hepa filtration, UVC air cleaner, and occasionally ozone on a timer if I am not going to be home for several hours. I can't say that I never experience anything unusual. I still get what feels like a sting somewhere in my feet, but that is not often. And I can live with it. I consider this a chronic illness that can be well managed, sort of like diabetes. My protocol is not at all overwhelming, just part of everyday life. It is a small price to pay for freedom from torture. All that said, I must emphasize that I am speaking ONLY for myself. I do not argue with others who have found other paths to freedom from the torture. I also think that some people " only " have mite infestations that once they've eradicated them, they are home free. No one has all the answers. That is why I don't push my approach through excessive posting about it. I put it out there, and let people decide what they will try. Sorry about the length of this post. Date: Fri, 12 Feb 2010 16:26:12 -0000 Hi Bessie and Buggered I have been dwelling on buggereds posting. I love hearing your post with his. I also like you both believe that this might be something we will have forever. I am glad you are in the remission part and hope you always will be. Just like when my mom started getting Shingles the Dr. explained that if you had chicken pocks as a kid the virus is always dorment in your body until you get up in age and the emmune system can no longer keep it in check and it comes out as Shingles. I think Morgellon may be simular. I think maybe it can be put into remission, but God help us if we ever have to give up on our emmune systems via old age or being put in a situation whare we are not allowed to use our weapons to keep our health up. Like a nursing home. Which is whare I one day may be with all my disabilitys. I dread that once I get well that in a place like that my emmune system will weaken giving the Morgellons a chance to reserface. Wonder what Sky things on that subject. Like you I am way better now because of strengthening my organs and cleansing the colon and blood. I still have work to do and it gets me down all the time that I am not home free yet. I have to keep reminding myself that I am having more good days now than bad days and the bad days are easy compared to what I had been going through before the 3 points plan. It makes it hard to stay up beat when you are winning the battle and have to deal with other health issues. It gets to be to much for me at times. This morning being one of them. I have been so dried out that I started using my heat device on my humiditor on my breathing equipment. It gave wonderful releif from all the severe cotton mouth. Cotton mouth so bad my throat would close up and could not swallow or breath until I roll some water in my throat and spit so I can breath and than drink some water. I drink tons of water and wake up with an extra full bladder every morn on top of the cotton mouth. Well the relief I get now from my humiditor is attracking some tiny tiny biters. I never felt them go up my nose but this morning when my whole back was a wall of pain and than I realized a slight pinching up my nose. Got up and got rid of them out of my nose and eyes quickly with sea salt water. Everything that still trys to take hold is easier to kill and get rid of. I get bouts of silence everyday to whare I think they are gone and than later get some straglers. The days are slowly getting longer and warmer so that seems to have made my invorment in my bug free living room pick back up. I had gone over or almost two months with no hits from my living room. Just that dang bed. Now my living room is slightly getting me. Got to figure out what to do and what I can physically do when already taxed out physically. Try to keep it to just my bed till I get to the stage whare you, Sue and Marie are. I guess that organic diet really is a big pluss in getting well. I think about that part all the time and each time I get supplies from the health food store I look and all that and the prices drive me away. Some day some way I am going to go that direction, but I think I will always want at least 1 coffee Milkey Way each week and on occassion a treat. Also sorry mine is so long. Guest guest
Bessie. I am about where you are at. The following statement by you is true for me too: "I consider this a chronic illness that can be well managed, sort of like diabetes. My protocol is not at all overwhelming, just part of everyday life. It is a small price to pay for freedom from torture." I don't think I can ever date someone long-term, knowing that I carry this thing (keeping it at bay, though). I am mentally prepared to be single for the rest of my life. Guest guest
As usual, Bessie, you hit the nail square on the donkey, or in this case, the curse. How and why the curse manifests in the human landscape remains a talking point of much contention, and as much as I'd like to continue entertaining the fantasy of a simple bird mite infestation, I find myself at last coming to grips with the enormity of this hellish situation. For starters, I've never seen a mite, or anything remotely resembling a mite. I have sprayed my domicile from here to eternity. I have discarded furniture. I have worked on the road for months at a time only to return to " it. " Not that I ever completely escaped " it " while on the road, have you. All I have to do is let up on the smokes one day and they're buggering the back of my throat again. And one would think after a year plus of buggering some nasty specimen would have finally crawled it's way into line of sight. I've never had a problem shaking off colds, what have you. This is different. This organism is in my head - literally. I do recall you once mentioning the terminal nature of this condition which I shrugged off at the time as something that couldn't possibly effect me. Several months later I must admit my faulty logic. You were, and are.....correct, at least from my vantage. The other person I was referring to was not you. -Buggered > > > > > > > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. Guest guest
Did it ever occur to you the good that came from this thread was for the very reason it wasn't " nice " (i.e. pleasing and agreeable in nature). Guest guest
Lynn - Yup, at this point I am of the mind the curse may indeed be terminal (chronic) and I'm glad others here now entertain the remission theory I interjected. This is merely a lay persons' observation, but I suspect the organism's fungal element plays a crucial role in laying the groundwork for chronic buggering. Your point on dormant virus is well taken, and well advised. -Buggered > > > > Buggered - > > > > You raise one of the more perplexing issues with this. Nothing of import is accomplished when people are more concerned about tip-toeing around hyper-sensitive egos than they are posting empirical data. -Buggered > > > > Buggered - > > > > You raise one of the more perplexing issues with this. Guest guest
Bobby I would be curious the common denominator for wellness of those living a fairly normal life again. For me MMS, Diet, Supplements and Sulfur and now added Essiac Tea, have made my life possible again. Also stopping all chemical applications of pesticides, and using natural soaps. Marie http://www.healthy-communications.com/slsmostdangerousirritant.html http://jimhumble.biz/ > > > > > > > > > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. If you have any questions about what we have done to rid our home and skin of this " thing " please feel free to ask. Hope this info helps. Guest guest
We all would love to know what that common denominator is Marie. I suspect that it is a total cleaning up of your body, after years of the unhealthy american lifestyle that many of us live. We are our own worst enemies for what we do to our bodies: fast food, lol Bugger, RX drugs, smoke, environmental chemicals, cell phone radiation, wireless. The list is endless. You have totally cleansed your body, as has Bessie, built your immune system back up, watch what you do and put into your body now and keep a clean envionment. You both have stuck to a plan also, you didn't flip and try everything, you just stayed on track. Sue H has also done this and continues to do this. Major keys to success. > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. Guest guest
Bobby More good news since becoming stronger and a year of detox I can now splurge and have dark chocolate and occasional fast food with little consequences. Continuing this lifestyle would be detrimental though. Marie > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them. Guest guest
JS - And once again the discussion about there being no absolutes with this arises. I know many people who have married and not given it to their spouse. I even know a few cases of women who are afflicted giving birth to children who are fine (they range in age, now, from 4 to 11). I know some who have dated different people without giving it to them. And of course, the opposite also happens... Just as there seem to be numerous ways to defeat this, or at least get it under control, there seem to be varying degrees of contagion. Is it connected with whatever stage you are in? No one knows. I would not give up on the idea of a partner, yet JS. Bessie > > > > > > > > Yes....my husband and I finally killed them out after 4 years of fighting them.
