Dear ne,

What a shitty way to spend a night - when you have a "rough night" in a hospital there aint anything worse then that! Did they do blood tests and cultures or CT scan of her lungs to make sure she is ok? Prednisone *ACK* Is she asthmatic? I hope she is better today, and I hope you manage to calm your mind so you have some time to rest.

*warm hugs*

Hi all- Well, I spentmost of last night at the hospital

with , my 12

yr old. She's had a cold for a few days, but last evening she started

wheezing & couldn't catch her breath. When I got her to ER her

po2 was only

88% (which is not good) They think she has a viral infection

in her lungs.

Anyway, they put her on oxygen & started inhalers & prednisone.

She'll come

home today if she's better. I talked to her on phone at 3 am &

she was

really wired from all the alupent & prednisone.

LOL

ne,

I hope

that feels better soon! I fully understand the wired

feeling from the medications. I usually get Epinephrine, Lidocaine,

IV Solumedrol, Albuterol, and Benadryl...

The

only thing that Albuterol ever does for me, is make my heart fly, and make

me shake.... I don't have asthma, so I have to be pretty far gone for the

Albuterol to have any medicinal effects on me.... and that also means that

I am ICU bound!

When

I wheeze, everyone gets scared since my allergies are all upper airway

vs lower airway.

I hope

comes home soon, and is feeling much better soon!!! That

can be pretty scary, breathing is supposed to be involuntary not by choice!

Oxygen

saturation of 88%.... Eikes!!!! I am glad that they took her

seriously! I have in the past been accused of causing my oxygen saturation

to drop.... how I don't know, but I went into the ER one time, with an

oxygen sat of 90, and they told me that I was doing this to myself....

so they sent me away. I left, and went to the ER closest to

my house, which just happens to be a Level One Trauma Center. By

the time I got to Regions Hospital my Oxygen sat was 86 and dropping fast....

I won emergency intubation while wide awake in the ER. When

I came off the vent, I asked the docs if it was possible for me to drop

my sats that low, while still breathing.... NO!! So I am not sure

where the idiots in the other ER went to medical and nursing school.

Holding your breath is a self correcting deal... hold your breath, pass

out, breathing returns to normal.... Nope I didn't hold my breath, and

I didn't pass out, yet my oxygen sat continued to drop.

It is

at these times that I am so glad that I have the amount of ALS training

I do, because I know what should or shouldn't be happening. And I

will fight for what I think needs to be done, for myself, my friends, my

family, everyone, even a complete stranger (that is what being a Paramedic

& /or Nurse is all about! Fighting for your patients.)

Anne

the babbler is going back to bed now. Been awake since 0600 for ???????

reason! Now it is just after 0800, and I am hoping to go to sleep

again soon.

Love

Always,

Anne

Hi Lynn

1 cup water & 1 teaspoon baking soda dumped over the head and wiped all over

stops the crawling and leaves the skin in an alkaline state the bug dosent like.

.. Then I peroxide & borax any troublesome areas

16 oz peroxide

2 tblsn borax

32 oz water

mix it & aply , no burn , no pain , no more itch. Itt healed 1 cut I had isn 18

hrs .. uncanny. the borax nuetralizes the peroxide , the peroxide makes the

borax penetrate dee pinto the skin & body. And it is so cheap. Hi blonde hair !.

God bless you,

Bill

ps the peroxide mix workks great in the environment , but I will not breathe it

pss I have been spraying the car seat & floor with epsom 1 cup & 5 cups water

and haven & #39;t been getting bit in the car. I do it daily, it is hard on

electronic swithches though . But easy on the lungs and body & cheap.

I thought that it would not make me to much more buggy. Hhheeelllppp. I am

crawling on my head, private areas, legs and hands. This may turn out to be a

long wicked night. Than I thought I was going to get more esp soap and turned

out I had to spend money on an enlarged electric bill from the extra bodies

living here. So I had went to the store and bought the dr. Bronners liquid soap

and started using it. The first time made me sick and froze my you know what

off. I have been diluting it, but must need to more. I use it in the morning to

kill bugs before using what left of my esp soap. I did this evening also and

felt sick again. Must be reacting to something in that soap.

> Well I am regretting the little bit of sugar I had and deserve to suffer for

it. My weight droped again. 186 lbs. 42 lbs gone. Its aweful having a nightmare

like this make you look at your much needed weight loss as a little white

lining. Just discusting and scares me. I got to get well by the time I reach 108

or I may be in very serious trouble. Well trying to keep busy so as not to think

about the stupid crawling. Will have to put on extra protection till I get under

control.

Lynn, Thats's great the baking soda is working for you. Try the scrub of three

parts of soda to one part of water and apply to full body, including your face.

Add more water if needed to have it work as a full body scrub. Don't be afraid

to leave it on a little while, scrubbing while it is on. It will be drying with

repeated use, so your coconut oil afterwards. It is one of the safest oils you

can apply for your multiple chemical sensitivity (you can add tea tree oil to it

as repellent). You can also mix a quarter size spot of the soda with your esp

shampoo and leave it on your scalp for a bit. Works great. It will eventually

lighten your hair a bit. I wish you had a tub for a bath in a cup or two, works

great. I would bet it was the selsun blue that made you feel ill, it does to me.

on. I washed it off right away. Than I did Selson Blue for my hair. Did my sea

salt as a body scrub and left that on for 3 min. Rinsed and did Dr. Bronners

pepperment soap. Washed it off right away. I felt sick and my heart rate was up.

I did my esp soap and let it dry on and rinsed. I did not have any bugs after

that shower.
