Guest guest
Following find 43 applications for the phour salts which Dr. Young calls the ultimate baking soda. I read Dr. Young's books and followed his protocol almost 10 years ago when I had cancer and completely healed myself with no other therapies. Other than that I'm not affiliated with him in any way. I'm so grateful to . Her information along with what I know from Dr. Young gives me new hope for the Morgellons after effects from the bird mites. Also I love the idea of bamboo sheets and socks. Hope SteinMart in my area has the socks! Check out the applications below where he mentions 2 TBLS. of the salts for internal use: 43 Applications of Young pHorever pHour Salts Young pHorever™ pHour Salts™ by Dr. O. Young is the " ultimate " baking soda: A combination of four powerful carbonate salts (sodium bicarbonate, magnesium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, and calcium rbonate). bica These four mineral salts are naturally occurring in all fluids of the body. Specifically, they may aid in the reduction of dietary and metabolic acidity helping to maintain the alkaline design of the human, animal or plant body. http://www.phmiracleliving.com/pHourSalts.htm The following list are the many uses of pHour Salts: 1. Keep a jar of pHour Salts in your fridge for smelling fresh and reducing acidic gaseous residues from spoiling foods. 2. A pinch of pHour Salts in a gallon of freshly brewed iced tea takes out the bad tasting acidic tannins and prevents cloudiness and acidic effect. 3. When soaking dried beans or cooking cabbage, add a dash to the water to make them less gaseous. The pHour Salts will reduce or eliminate the flatulence caused by the beans. 4. To keep tomato soup from curdling, sprinkle some pHour Salts on the simmering tomatoes and skim off the white foam before adding soy, almond or hazel nut milk. 5. Two tablespoons of pHour Salts added to hot water to broccoli and cauliflower keeps the veggies crisp and preserves the electrical potential of the cooked veggies. 6. Pet care: Sprinkle pHour Salts onto his/her coat and brush or comb through for dry acidic odor protection between baths. 7. Give plastic and rubber toys a bath in a solution of 4 Tb. of pHour Salts dissolved in 1 quart warm water. Sprinkle fabric toys with pHour Salts brushed off after 15 minutes. 8. Brush teeth with a teaspoon of pHour Salts on a damp toothbrush to avoid plaque and keep breath fresh. 9. Soak retainers, mouth guards, and dentures in pHour Salts and warm water solution (2 tsp to a drinking glass full). 10. Make a paste of 3 parts pHour Salts to one part water for an effective and inexpensive skin exfoliant. Just apply it to your skin with fingertips or a washcloth in a gentle, circular motion and rinse. 11. Mix a little pHour Salts into your shampoo to strip out product buildup, or add it into your conditioner for extra-healthy, non-split ends. 12. Apply a paste of pHour Salts and water to take the ouch out of bug bites, bee stings, sunburns, rashes, poison ivy, or pour in bathwater for relief from the itch of chicken pox and measles. 13. Drink 1 to 3 teaspoon of pHour Salts in ½ a glass of water to relieve acid indigestion and heartburn. 14. Use pHour Salts as a mouthwash for bad breath or to soothe canker sore pain. Add a 1/2 tsp to water a swish your mouth and then discard or drink. 15. Run pHour Salts and water solution through your coffee maker, followed by two fresh water brew cycles to keep your java tasting tip top. Of course, the best solution is not to drink acidic java. 16. Add a pinch of pHour Salts to your cup of java to reduce the acidic effects of the caffeine. 17. Zap nasty cutting board tastes and smells by scrubbing them with a mixture of pHour Salts and water. It'll cut grease, wont' dry out the wood, and will also take garlic and onion smells off your skin. 18. Use a damp paper towel and a sprinkling of pHour Salts to remove tea and punch stains from china and plastic. Especially chlorophyll stains in your water drinking bottle. 19. Neutralize spilled battery acid in a flash with a handful of pHour Salts. 20. pHour Salts and a wet wash cloth makes an excellent bumper buffer when little scuffs appear. It also shines up bike chrome. 21. pHour Salts is a natural fire-stopper. Keep a jar close at hand when you are working with live fire of any kind. A handful can put out grease, electrical, wood, and fuel fires. 22. Sprinkle pHour Salts on an outdoor grill or make a paste with water, and scrub grit off the grill without the danger of adding nasty cleaning chemicals to your food. 23. Rub pHour Salts directly on a baby spit up to nix the smell quickly. 24. Soak sweat-drenched headbands, hats and gloves or smoky clothes in a pHour Salts solution before they hit the washing machine. Or if you're pressed for time, sprinkle it on clothing for a quick odor mask. 25. Gardening Mildew! Keep fungus, black spots and powdery mildew off your precious plants by mixing pHour Salts, horticultural oil and soap and applying it to affected leaves. Just add 1 tsp of pHour Salts and a few drops of dishwashing soap to a gallon of water, and spray once a week, and after it rains. 26. Make a paste of pHour salts by mixing 1/2 tsp of pHour Salts in some alkaline water and apply to the armpits for eliminating acidic body dietary and/or metabolic odors. 27. Drink an 8 ounce glass of pHour salts just before an acidic meal to buffer or chelate food acids. Use 1 Tbs. of pHour Salts per 8 ounces of alkaline water. 28. Drink an 8 ounce glass of alkaline water with 1 to 2 Tbs. of pHour Salts upon rising to flush and clean the alimentary canal. 29. For a hang offer drink an 8 ounce glass of alkaline water with 2 Tbs. of pHour salts to help eliminate the acidic alcohol residues. This mixture will also reduce blood alcohol when one has had too much to drink. Of course Dr. Young recommends you eliminate all alcohol consumption to maintain health and energy. 30. For motion sickness on a boat or plane drink a 8 to 12 ounce glass of alkaline water with 1 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 31. For morning sickness during pregnancy drink an 8 ounce glass of alkaline water with 1 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 32. For restless leg syndrome drink 1 liter or quart of alkaline water with 2 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 33. For muscle soreness or inflammation drink 1 liter or quart of alkaline water with 2 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 34. For acne make a paste of pHour salts with alkaline water and cover the face. Leave on the face for at least 30 minutes. 35. For sore feet or athlete's feet soak your feet in warm alkaline water with 2 to 3 Tbs of pHour Salts. 36. For air born micro-organisms in a closed area, such as in a plane, drink an 8 ounce glass of alkaline water with 1 Tbs. of pHour Salts before and after your flight. 37. Reduce vaginal odor or yeast douche with warm alkaline water and 1 to 2 tsp. of pHour salts. 38. For an alkaline enema and to help relieve bowel congestion insert 6 to 8 ounces of warm alkaline water with 1 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 39. For relaxing after a hard day at work take an alkalizing hot bath with 5 to 6 Tbs. of pHour Salts. 40. To maintain a healthy urine and saliva pH at 7.2 or above drink 1 liter/quart of alkaline water with 1 Tbs of pHour Salts 3 times a day. 41. I you feel like you have a sore throat developing or if you have a sore throat gargle with a mixture of 1 Tbs of pHour salts in 4 t 6 ounces of water. 42. For acid reflux, nausea, or indigestion drink 4 to 6 ounces of alkaline water with 1 Tbs of pHour salts to buffer excess hydrochloric acid. 43. For constipation drink 1 liter of pHour salts with 1 to 2 Tbs of pHour salts on an empty stomach an first thing in the morning. Remember that the human body is alkaline by design and acidic by function. To maintain that healthy ageless alkaline design of your body may I suggest using Young pHorever pHour Salts everyday. Please let us know how you are using your pHour salts and how it is working for you. We would love to share your testimony with others. Guest guest
Hi All,, I'm still laughing. We made many baking soda/vinegar volcanoes in my class. Your imagery was very good.On the serious side, after reading all the recent posts I will definitely relook at baking soda scrubs. I tried the stuff when it was early days into the itching and it didn't help the itch so I never used it again. What is the "nasty bio film" that baking soda removes?I am interested in IR and FIR but have no room for a sauna. My total floor space is only a cluttered 3'x7'. I used the wrong name when I talked about a nanotechnology guy. I meant the nanotransformations guy. I stumbled across his site when looking for ideas. I thought his idea of a cheap infra red lamp made sense. http://nanotransformation.com/bird-mitesI deeply believe that I must get the bugs out of my personal environment before I get anywhere with getting rid of bugs in me. I have ordered methanol crystals and diatomacious earth and found the 20 Mule Team Borax. I will get some Arm and Hammer detergent too. Meanwhile I will continue to use the Cedarcide daily after a scrub. I may use coconut oil instead of lotion to protect my skin from drying. Does any one know about the effect of all these laundry and cleaning products on septic tanks. http://www.cedarcidestore.com/page/page/5368262.htmI've got some questions: I need to seal my foam rubber mattress. It will be very difficult logistically to maneuver around by myself and put plastic on my bed because my bunk is against walls on 3 sides. Also, I will need fold back the foam frequently so I can vacuum the wooden floor under it and put down fresh diatomacious earth and Borax. I was thinking that I might get a stretchy protector. Lynn, you just recently bought a mattress protector, what did you get? Is the synthetic, breathable, stuff that has pore size of 2.8. ok? http://www.allergyguarddirect.com/fabricspecs.aspGot a question, just cause misery loves company, does anyone else have to wear their clothes and sweats inside out because the seams and the nappy bumps on the sweat clothes irritate sore sensitized skin? I feel like the Princess with the Pea.Another silly question. How do people with bugs stay warm in winter. Temperatures range from -7 to 55 degrees up here on the mountain. (Not usually on the same day. ;>) I can’t wash my 3 blankets every night so I only use one. I can’t wash a winter coat every day? If I dress in layers with 2 pairs of sweats I double my wash load and I am getting complaints about doing too much laundry . Mostly I am just cold when I sleep and when I go out. I hope the bugs are freezing their appendages off. Any solutions?Thank you all for being there,Polly From: Kajay109 <kajay109 (DOT) com> bird mites, finding1cure, critterfighters, critterfiles, "BMO WmTheGreat\\ 's Group" <bodybugs@group s.com> Subject: Fw: baking soda info Date: Sun, 27 Dec 2009 04:14:54 -0800 (PST) Many of you know that I have been battling critters of some kind or another since 1985. For over a decade, I've had various regimens, but they always included my standby mix of benzalchonium chloride, herbal insect repellant mixed with water to spray on my clothes and with Pink Oil, a hair lotion, for my skin. Drum roll, please... I am now Pink Oil free! Want to know what did it (those who belong to critterfighters already heard this, so don't spill the beans)... So simple: baking soda. Under my nose all those years. I never really believed that ph played such a large role. After all, there have to be a ton of people with a ph too high, who DON'T get critters. Aren't there? Then last week I had a phone conversation with Bill ( Doe). We pledged to each other to take 1 tsp of baking soda in a glass of water daily. In fact I had already started that morning. I had also decided to stop taking MMS for the time being since it is activated by citric acid. I am not sure if the resulting compound, sodium hypochlorite, when mixed with baking soda, also causes the body to produce increased levels of carbon dioxide, but I didn't want to risk it. That night I took a leap of faith and just rinsed my hair in baking soda (I usually wash it like crazy and put Pink Oil in it overnight). I didn't lice comb, and I normally do. Then I showered in blue Dawn dish detergent, my shower gel of choice for now, lol, and finished with a drizzle of soda water (my alternative to soaking). Then, biggest leap of all, I put on my PJs and just went to bed on my fresh disposable sheet (like every night). No Pink Oil on my skin, either. First time in ... I don't remember how long. NO CRAWLIES! NO BITES! NO MOVEMENT AT ALL! And the next day, no enviro bites. Got up, drank another glass of soda water, and had a nearly crawl/bite free day. Continued the pre-soda shedding, but with few and less vicious bites. Did that 4 days, with each better than the one before. Decided to experiment and skipped a day of (internal and external) baking soda. I saw the difference that night when I went to bed. Crawling, no bites. Got up, got an enviro hit at once. Interestingly, the bite stopped immediately. I had a few of those over the day and finally...knew I had to go back on the soda. I had read about the effect that too much baking soda can have on the body, and that is, obviously, that it can drop the ph level through and below what is normal and healthy. So first I tested my ph and it was fairly high for me: 7.0. Then I drank my glass of soda water and rechecked after an hour, and it was 6.0. Beautiful! So, what is my conclusion? I'm going to stick with the baking soda. If it kills all the fungi feasts on my body, the parasites that live on me and consume the fungi will have to leave or starve. Granted some parasites can live a very long time: body lice can live for 24 hours under water and a year without food. So it might take me a while, with the population I'm supporting after all these years! However, I feel that with this I have finally really turned the corner. BTW, what I learned from the baking soda MSDS is this: * For now, take a teaspoon a day in water, but monitor the ph of my urine * Don't mix it with lime dust * Don't mix it with citric acid * Don't heat itI love you all, and I will keep you posted on how it goes. katiejill
Guest guest
Polly I have had great success and a few others using fels naptha and borax and wash soda for clothes. May be worth a try, cheap enough. I love this fels naptha use it for lots now cleaning the tub shower and floors, even used in my shampooer for the carpet with some borax. I will never use anything else personally. Cannot wait till spring to try the insecticide recipes outside. Since I live and work on a farm I even wonder how much may have been poison ivy in my clothes. And yes I remember many days glad I lived in the country and alone because I was naked many winters, now warm sweats and sweaters:) http://www.soapsgonebuy.com/Fels_Naptha_Soap_p/dial1001.htm http://www.soapsgonebuy.com/category_s/24.htm http://www.soapsgonebuy.com/category_s/8.htm > > From: Kajay109 <kajay109 (DOT) com> > bird mites, finding1cure, critterfighters, critterfiles, " BMO WmTheGreat\\ 's Group " <bodybugs@group s.com> > Subject: Fw: baking soda info > Date: Sun, 27 Dec 2009 04:14:54 -0800 (PST) > > Many of you know that I have been battling critters of some kind or another since 1985. Guest guest
Hi Polly, When you got the cedarcide, did you also get the Tri-Jet Fogger? This might be a huge help in getting your home environment clear for a while. It knocks them out on contact and the fog gets into every crevice, walls, ceiling, floor, furniture, and hangs in the air for a good kill, and a little would go a long way in your small environment. This was the first really helpful product we used at the beginning of our battle, and still continue to spritz around hot spots and on the dog. This allowed us some periods of blissful peace but we found we had to use the big guns (Nylar, Onslaught, Tempo, Bifen, etc.) later for a more residual effect. The fogger is a bit pricey, but we spent so much on other products that didn't work, that this one-time expense for something you can use indefinitely was worth it for us. Someone on here (was it Myrtle Maui?) posted a site where you can get these foggers for a much better price - I don't know whether they are the same fogger, as effective, or if they work the same way?). This wasn't the magic bullet for us, but it has been a mainstay for us throughout this battle. We used it on our skin for a brief time, but found it most effective as an environmental treatment. It is also one of the safer and natural products as opposed to the chemicals we used later (just be sure to leave your RV for at least two hours - longer is better - so as not to breathe in the vapors). I often wondered if we could have afforded it, and fogged more regularly, if it might have been the answer for complete eradication. There is one poster (Joan) who attributes Cedarcide as the key to their eradication (correct me if I'm wrong, Joan...) I agree that treating the environment is crucial in this battle. Many here now have their environment somewhat under control, but are still battling the "crawling and flickering" discomfort and this is where the skin remedies are so beneficial. Some say environment, body, and internals should be treated simultaneously, which is not easy to do, but very important. All the cleaning, vacuuming, washing clothes and bedding so often is a full-time job and exhausting work, and adding the internal measures and bathing procedures, and mixes - whew!! And then bringing them back into the environment from outside, your shoes, vehicles, etc. or reinfesting from items opened up after being packed away or sealed up. And for your situation without a washer/dryer or shower, it has to be an unbelievable struggle! You sound like a real trooper - I hope you can find relief from this nightmare soon! God bless you, Judy Re: Fw: baking soda info Hi All,, I'm still laughing. We made many baking soda/vinegar volcanoes in my class. Guest guest
Does the fels naptha laundry soap you make kill all the biting and crawling things in whites and darks? Guest guest
I am free of this beast. I came across this later but I love the stuff it may have contributed to me staying bite free. Others have said it helps more than many things they have tried. Cheap enough to try. No matter what you use I would let the clothes soak. If you try this please post and let others know how well it worked. Remember to cook the fels naptha, and be careful not to let it boil over. Add the washing soda and borax after you have turned the heat off. Ace Hardware sells the fels naptha, that is the only local store I found that carries it. The best buy online is soapsgonebuy. The bug can & #39;t travel tru oily water , I never get bit at nite .I used to be devoured untill I pitched my matress. ( if only I could heat treat at the apt.) By the way if I still get bit on my moat bed , I spray the cieling & wall with the same oil mix 2 tbls per 28 oz of water , add a little borax or detergent & that should poison them . Guest guest
Thank you, Polly :-) Replies from Marie and Bessie directed my attention to the cell salts. Based on their comments, I decided to change something, but first a brief recap: BAKING SODA In my previous baking soda report, I shared that the night I didn't take the baking soda internally (but still used it externally), I itched. No bites, but I itched. Until I got up and drank some baking soda water. I went back to bed and right to sleep, and slept comfortably. CELL SALTS I took baking soda for 2 or 3 more days after that till I read what Bessie posted about ph levels. I decided to try the cell salts for one night IN PLACE OF the baking soda water, but I still did the soda water drizzle after my shower. I slept equally as well as I did when I took the baking soda water. I'm going to try it again tonight. HYLAND'S BIOPLASMA I mentioned the Hyland's Bioplasma (why did they name it that? What does Hyland's know that we don't???), which IS cell salts, specifically the Schuessler's 12 cell salts, as it is much easier and cheaper (timewise) to buy that product than to go out and round up all the products that contain the 12 elements. It is $14.07 = shipping to me of less than $2 at iHerbs. I will let you know if the cell salts fall down on the job after the baking soda is out of my system. It may be I need to supplement them now and then, hope not (like drinking really salty sea water, yuck). Regardless, I will follow up with you on that. Thank you Marie and Bessie for responding with your excellent advice so quickly. OK, now to address some of your comments, Polly. BIOFILM Re biofilm, I've seen that come out of me, mostly when I was on the heavy MMS before I knew how to avoid the nausea. But I'm not getting that with the soda/cell salts. What I'm getting instead is still more hundreds of fiber critters each day. COLONIAL CRITTER? Nowadays I don't see any of the other organisms I used to see, they are all one form or another of the fiber critters, which I now think are colony critters: QUEENS: Huge (at least 1/4") pointed, cigar-shaped, hundreds of short black legs, relatively rare. WARRIORS: 1/16-1/8" globes. These can flatten themselves out to reduce the risk of injury by an enemy. Very aggressive. [remember Blue Boy?] NURSES: 1/16-3/16" oval with pointed, jointed head. Plentiful. [i 've seen one rescue a baby by pulling it up over the edge of a lint roller sheet]. DRONES: I think these are the plentiful short cigar-shaped ones. OREGANO OIL To help push them out, I'm still taking some oregano oil caps. Not too many, one of my customers at work said, "What is that fishy smell?" (I know what you are thinking, but that wasn't it--bear with me) When I got home that night and opened my oregano oil jar, it smelled--that's right--fishy! And I think it helps. I get more out when I take them than not. JERGENS + BAKING SODA I did have a lot of stuff come up when I used a Jergens lotion on my skin before getting in the shower. I put it on on top of what remained from the previous shower's light dusting of baking soda, so maybe what it did was just ball that up. Not sure, but I sure rolled a bunch of things off my skin, where I would have thought the lotion would have just soaked in regardless of the baking soda. So that MIGHT have been bio-film, but I wouldn't call that a very credible test. Will post further on that.ME OR MY HOUSE? Polly, for you, that may be true, but I actually moved and took nothing I'd had before with me but my very clean body, (including new purse and contents all sterilized, rented car) and still got attacked from inside my new clothes and shoes, in a perfectly new environment. I went home. My goal is to get them out of me and make them say "nevermind." Then I will take what I've learned and make my husband and dogs do it. I knew from the jump that if I forced my unaffected carrier of a husband go through everything I did, that I would soon be out of a husband. He got very tired of me talking about bugs all the time and I really had to keep a lot of things to myself early on. It was so hard. I'm an extrovert, which means I process by hearing myself say things, or now, write things. But then there was no one to write. Now that I am where I am with all this, he knows it will soon be his turn, and he will be ready to support what has to be done. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! Also, after I was swarmed at the local archery range by the red round spiders that left my legs covered with very small cigar shaped types (and makes me question my colony role theory above), I realized that they may well be everywhere. The two men with me were not bitten. They saw the red things running up on and under my slacks and were as horrified as me. I haven't been back to the range. My point being, I have to make them not want me wherever I go, not just kill them where I sleep and work. SLEEP TIGHT As for your bed, I will tell you what works extremely well for me. I was wearing myself out keeping my bedding clean and one day my back simply got too bad for me to continue to lift the edge of the mattress every day. Had I thought of air mattresses as a solution by then I might have tried one. But I hadn't. I looked at my water and power bills from that month and compared them to before I started all that mess. I thought about the hours of backbreaking work that I was finding myself less and less capable of performing every day. DON'T LET THE BEDBUGS BITE What if there was such a thing as disposable sheets, I thought. I found them to fit my twin bed at Medex Supply. I calculated the per sheet price. I ordered some. POWDERED BEDDING Before I put them on the bed, I vacuumed it thoroughly, put a vellux (flocked foam) blanket on it, covered that with a thick (1/2" or so) layer of epsom salts, Roach Prufe, and Diatomaceous Earth (now I just use the DE and it is fine by itself), then two disposable sheets so I don't feel the crumbliness of the powder. I wear a dust mask to do this, of course, and every month I put more powder on top of what's there to freshen it up. I change the top sheet nightly and both every 4 or so days. In the winter I use a top sheet. I can get two nights out of a set when I have a good night, as I have had this week. On really cold nights, I use two sheets on top of me. On hot nights, I do fine without a top sheet at all. So I spend more on my disposable sheets in the winter. Warning: the soft side tears up easily. Sleep with the shiny (plastic) side toward your body if you are a wild sleeper. You won't tell much difference in the feel or texture of the sheet if you sleep as bundled up as I do anyway. COCONUT OIL Made me yummy to my critters, and made me itch. Maybe I'm allergic. Sad. Nice stuff. OUTER CLOTHING We usually wear our outer clothing for shorter periods than our regular clothing, and less area is in contact with our skin. When I get home from work, I lay my long wool coat on my dryer and use my lint roller on the collar and inside the cuffs. That's all I need. Work Clothes I get all my work clothes dry cleaned after one wearing. We have a very reasonable dry cleaner nearby, and their chemicals don't smell but the bugs are gone when I get the clothes back. Pajamas I sleep in long cotton knit pajama pants and long-sleeved cotton tees, which I soak 24 hours and dry 4 hours. Any cutting of corners there (with my critters) and I feel movement or worse. Guaranteed to destroy all elastic in 6 washes or less, so I go for those pajama bottoms with the drawstrings. Casual Clothes I dry clean the ones I want to keep in nice condition, and I torture the rest like I do my pajamas. HOME SPRAY For many years I have minimized environmental effects by spraying Nylar + Boric Acid + LimeAway on all soft and absorbent surfaces. Hope that helps some. I know we all have different original critters, but from what I think I'm hearing, many are vectoring morg, which if your morg are like my morg, it wipes out your bird mites too, as well as lice, fleas, etc. Thanks for your letter, Polly,Love you all, katie , ...What is the "nasty bio film" that baking soda removes?...I thought his idea of a cheap infra red lamp made sense... I deeply believe that I must get the bugs out of my personal environment before I get anywhere with getting rid of bugs in me...I've got some questions: I need to seal my foam rubber mattress...my bunk is against walls on 3 sides...Another silly question. How do people with bugs stay warm in winter. ...Mostly I am just cold when I sleep and when I go out....Thank you all for being there,Polly
Guest guest
I drizzle on a solution of about 2 Tbsp of baking soda in a cup of warm water in the shower. I blot dry and by the time (with the forced air heat) that I reach the bedroom, I'm mostly dry. Too easy. I'm not even having to use anything extra for privates--same good news with the cell salts! katie From: Lynn <torpedolynn@...>bird mites Sent: Mon, December 28, 2009 2:20:19 AMSubject: Re: Fw: baking soda info Cool so you dry it on and go to bed. Guest guest
That is a comprehensive list, and since baking soda is so widely available, I'm happy to say that it too will do many of these things. I have always kept a big box in my kitchen for fires, for example. However there are a lot of applications on the list that I have never heard associated with baking soda. What a lovely surprise! Guest guest
Hi, Lynn, No, my grandfather used Arm and Hammer Baking Soda just like the box in my cabinet. I think he used the soda to compensate for the sweets rather than the other way around, lol! So much so that my last birthday gift to him said "Eat dessert first." Great reminder. I tend to forget the syrup dispenser with cider vinegar and honey in it. It is wonderful for arthritis pain. I got some sugar free honey after I read your note, and will make some for Greg to see if he can experience the same benefits with his gout. Thank you so much! That's fascinating to know our initial ph was 7.44 and the news about alkaline water and uric acid is wonderful news. katie From: Lynn <torpedolynn@...>bird mites Sent: Mon, December 28, 2009 2:46:31 AMSubject: Re: Fw: baking soda info I wonder if your grandfathers Baking soda was more organic. Also eating the sweet might have brought it up to keep it from going to low. If the Cream Of Tartar does not help your hubbys gout. I make Braggs apple cidar vinagar mixed with sage honey for a high school friend whom gets gout often and that helps him get rid of it quicker. If he would just drink it all the time our friend would probably never see a reaccourance. He was here last night asking about the vinagar drink becuase he was getting gout again. In Light LynnWe are born with high alkaline blood pH of 7.44. As we get older, the blood pH drops down to 7.35 or below. The blood pH referred to here is the artery blood pH. The difference of 0.09 in pH value seems very small but since pH is logarithmic, the amount of hydroxyl ion (OH-) in 7.44 pH is 1.23 times that of 7.35 pH, because 10=1.2303. The hydroxyl ion is an oxygen donor while the hydrogen ion (H+) is an oxygen taker. In other words, young people carry 23% more of the oxygen donors in their blood than older people. No wonder they are more energetic. Uric acid is nearly insoluble in water, alcohol, and ether, but soluble in solutions of alkaline salts. In other words, it becomes soluble in alkaline water. Arthritis and gout are caused by uric acid deposited between the joints, non-dissolved due to the low alkalinity of an older person's blood. Drinking acid free alkaline water will gradually elevate one's blood pH and the gout will disappear naturally. (More about this acid free alkaline water later)This article above was taken from a page about ionized water. Thought it interesting to add to the mix in this subject.>> Exactly, and yet my grandfather never had to take high blood pressure meds, and drank a glass of soda water from my mother's earliest childhood memory until the doctor took him off of it when he was 98. And he didn't avoid his sweets, he knew he had that covered. > > That said, I am still concerned about the sodium, too. I don't understand why my grandfather DIDN'T have BP problems as a result. Imagine drinking soda water every morning from 1930 (or earlier) until 1994! > > I have more to learn, obviously, and I thank you and everyone for the amazing things you all teach me everytime I visit the site. > > As for the gout remedies, those are amazing. My husband has gout -- and diabetes -- and high blood pressure. Triple whammy. No insulin shots, yet, though, thank goodness. He has tried the black cherry, celery seed, watermelon, all the usual gout remedies, but I didn't know about these things. I'm going to print what you wrote and talk with him about it. Thank you sooo much. For everything.> > With love,> katie

For over a decade, I've had various regimens, but they always included my standby mix of benzalchonium chloride, herbal insect repellant mixed with water to spray on my clothes and with Pink Oil, a> hair lotion, for my skin. That night I took a> leap of faith and just rinsed my hair in baking soda (I usually wash it like crazy and put Pink Oil in it overnight). Got up, got an> enviro hit at once. However, I feel that with this I have finally really> turned the corner. BTW, what I learned from the baking soda MSDS is this: * For now, take a teaspoon a day in water, but monitor the ph of my urine * Don't mix it with lime dust * Don't mix it with citric acid * Don't heat itI love you all, and I will keep you posted on how it goes. katiejill >
Guest guest
Hi How gose the baking soda , I like to chnge up once in a while & ue the arm & hammer powdered laundry soap 1 teasp per cup of water , it is really effective at erasing all bumps , clearing up deep ones & stops itches , 1 time every 2 weeks is all I can take . Hen back to the coconut oil & borax soaking o my back .. I exumed a truck I hadn & #39;t been in in 1 year , what a mistake, bling , bing , bite , nibble arg , I should of junked it .. It a beauty though , it is the original work van that I drove when all this started. It is a hive , I have pelted it with borax blown into it , bomed it 35 time , 3 zodiac flea bombs at a time , soakes it in 25 oz windex & 4 oz baby oil , mixed up . This windex & baby oil is effective , but only for so long. I soaked it in antifeeeze , I soakeds it in hydrolic oil 3 times, I bleached it 20 times , I c02 it 6 times , it is never used , it just sits , full of tools . I need to heat treat it 6 saturdays in a row to 170 degrees ,it is its only hope . I was fine , before I got in it to drive it to keep it running , If only I could find the bait that this bug wil eat & poison it with borax or antifreeze or ? . I am going to try chicken parts soaked in a littl antifreeze , the antifreeze is very sweet tasting , maybe they all will eat it & croak . I forgot about the cvs brand ant traps , poster somemites told Frito about , I will get some fresh ones traps , they helped a lot after 3 days . Guest guest
You're welcome , Glad you found the list helpful and yes, I'm sure that most of the listings would work with baking soda too - alot cheaper as well. I started amping my soda water intake since reading your posts and also use it in the shower now. Seems to help alot with the internal crawling sensations. I also love the way it keeps me really cleaned out. My homeopathic doctor warned me about taking any homeopathic remedy for more than a month - even cell salts. His thought is that it can make it impotent and then if needed again, won't work. I have many of those fiber creatures exiting my skin too. I finally worked up the courage to get out my microscope after the birdmites subsided. I was shocked at how many fiber balls and other strange looking creatures were on my bed in the morning - night after night - after completely wiping down the plastic cover before going to bed. It's eerie. The bird mites seem to be mostly gone but not this other stuff yet. Hope the soda water helps clean these critters up too! It will be a day of celebration if we ever recover from all this mess. Lots of Love, Rose N. > > That is a comprehensive list, and since baking soda is so widely available, I'm happy to say that it too will do many of these things. I have always kept a big box in my kitchen for fires, for example. However there are a lot of applications on the list that I have never heard associated with baking soda. What a lovely surprise! Guest guest
Hi Lynn I tried the toothsoap & after one brushing my newly filled cavity that hurt when I drank cold water even though it is filled , it dosent hurt barely at all now. I could not even excercise out in the cold cause the cold air even hurt it a lot. Now I can dring ice water... yea ! you were right. I asked the dentist today about how this could help so much , she said the tooth is re-mineralizing becuse it is clean . She did question the raw honey in the toothsoap & said she would have to look into it .. Thanks you Lynn I was going crazy from this sensitive tooth. God bless you , Bill ps www.toothsoap.com dosent show all the ingredients for the toothsoap, but the bottle does it looks heathy , what a product .. Wow.. .. ! Honey coconut oil , ( there it is again coconut oil ) Herbs .. can & #39;t go wrong with these ingredients it seems . I got the chocolate orange , its my favorite flavor, do you rememeber mandrian chocoolate sherbert at baskin robbins 31 flavors ? That was good ice creme. The dentist said if I eat ice creme , rinse my mouth & swish some water around to rinse off the sugar that rots teeth .. I hadn & #39;t thought of that . Hen back to the coconut oil & borax soaking o my back . I need to heat treat it 6 saturdays in a row to 170degrees ,it is its only hope .I was fine , before I got in it to drive it to keep it running , If only I could find the bait that this bug wil eat & poison it with borax or antifreeze or ? Guest guest
I'm so spoiled, Rose, since I can just roll up and throw out my sheet every morning. Seems to help alot with the internal crawling sensations. I also love the way it keeps me really cleaned out. My homeopathic doctor warned me about taking any homeopathic remedy for more than a month - even cell salts. His thought is that it can make it impotent and then if needed again, won't work.I have many of those fiber creatures exiting my skin too. Hope the soda water helps clean these critters up too!It will be a day of celebration if we ever recover from all this mess.Lots of Love,Rose N.>> That is a comprehensive list, and since baking soda is so widely available, I'm happy to say that it too will do many of these things.
