Guest guest
Hi Gareth, I think it was actually mentioned later on the list that there was indeed a confirmed outbreak. A quick read on the www.elkhabar.com site proved this to be correct but as you say there were a handful of cases. Such outbreaks are relatively common in that part of the country. Albert Camus wrote his famous novel (caled The Plague)about such and outbreak in the 1940's. Not personally aware of any expats in the oil and gas game in that region, but maybe someone can tell me different? Guest guest
Gareth/, Eventually got the info from local papers but WHO didn't have a scooby and the mobile number of the Dr. on call for early notification was switched off, added to which he didn't reply to my messages. Medipulse were more switched on and had a notification about a week ago. On base here, in Hassi Messaoud, we have a lot of Algerian Nationals living in Oran, so I was keen to get updates ASAP!
