I'm unsure do I order the Nokout " Broad Spectrum Disinfectant " which contains the chlorine dioxide or the Nokout " Odor Remover " . I thought the stuff with the chlorine dioxide was the thing to order, but I've also seen Bobby refer to the Nokout Odor. Could you let me know which one you guys use? Guest guest Posted August 16, 2009 Report Share Posted August 16, 2009 Bobby, On the Nokout website the odor remover doesn't say it has the chlorine dioxide, however the " Broad Spectrum Disinfectant " does list the stabilized chlorine dioxide as an ingredient. The Broad Spectrum has yellow on the label and the Odor Remover has green on the label. (www . nokout .com - right?) Launder as prescribed below. Laundry: Add two ounces of Odor Neutralizer to the water of each load. Front Loading Washer Odor The problem exists because the front loaders are sealed tight, so the moisture does not evaporate as in a traditional washer. Wherever there is moisture long enough, there is mold/mildew. The mold/mildew is what you smell. So... 1) Get all of the clothes out and open the door and let it dry completely. 2) Look behind the door seal on the washer (not on the door) and examine the drum for ooey gooey mold/mildew. 3) Remove any mold/mildew with a rag by holding the rag behind the seal and rotating the drum. 4) Spray Odor Neutralizer directly on the area by holding back the seal and spraying, rotate the drum and repeat until you have done the entire area. 5) Pour in 1 quart Odor Neutralizer into your soap area and run the washer with no clothes. If you happen to have a machine that has the silver sanitizer, you can run it on that option. 6) You can wash your smelly clothes caused by the washer, wash with 16 oz. Odor Neutralizer. If I remember right, she told me there is not a whole lot of difference between the formulas at these safe levels. But confirm with her and post what she says for us. Now, my question is how to use it in the laundry. Do you have to have the water hot? I do not have gas at the moment, just moved in here, so no hot water! What else can I do with it? Any suggestions? I had ok success with the dogs, but I still see them on them, so the dip may have worn off, or the yard is infested! Going to spray Malathion in the yard, see how that works, or Demon, with cypermethrin. Guest guest Posted August 22, 2009 Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 I have been washing in hot with 4-8 oz with nokout odor neutralizer, depending on the load size. I suspect it will probably work just fine in any temp. You could take your laundry to the laundrymat till your gas is hooked up as insurance. As an FYI, I also have tried the expel, which I think doesn't hold a candle to the nokout. My sheets seem a little crawly with expel, perfect with nokout. I would spend the little extra money for nokout. The formula seems a little bit thicker. I think the nokout kills bugs fer sure, not so sure about expel. I called the expel lab and the guy I spoke to didn't think it would kill any bugs. Lou at nokout thought it might. I found it does. I called Neem Tree Farms and they said 1 tablespoon per gallon of neem oil to water for exterior use if you want to try something a little safer. Maybe you could use 1.5 tablespoons per gallon with our buggies. You could try the green light neem spray from Lowes which is exterior rated, not safe for interiors. I'm a big neem fan.
