Guest guest
Hi Ramona, That is MAJOR, considering the incident AND that she did mow with no OC problems! Have to say, I love mowing, have a push one also. I think being outside and just the physical busyness helps, plus having a nice result afterwards! LOL, must be the being outside part, as staying busy INside just doesn't give me the same feeling! I'm glad Dr. Penzel responded. Where do these doctors find the time, between work & family?!?! Wonder why Paxil CR has been taken off the market?? > > I was thrilled this past week because asked if she could mow > the lawn. Guest guest
[Wonder why Paxil CR has been taken off the market??] The pharmacist told me that the manufacturer quit making it. Don't know any more than that. [i think being outside and just the physical busyness helps, plus having a nice result afterwards!] This is so true. I was excited just by the fact that she wanted to go outside & do something physical. I try to get her to go for walks with me, but she usually refuses because she thinks everyone is staring at her. We live in a small community that thrives on rumors. When I started homeschooling her, someone started the rumor that she was pregnant. So now she thinks that everyone is talking about her. I think she was pleased with herself that she did a good job. Ramona
Guest guest
Hi there- I noticed you reccomended Dr Penzel to someone. I called him once ( he is in my area ) he responded very quickly- was very nice to talk with on the phone. We ended up going with a TS specialist as that is what my son ended up having ( with the o in ocd as well ) I see all this info. about Insositol and I am wondering what it is and what symptoms it is used for? Also- Do your child see Dr Penzel for OCD? Thanks for any info... trying to educate myself on OCD- seems a little different as my son just has Obessions- ----- Original Message ----- From: Sent: Saturday, April 23, 2005 9:16 PM Subject: Re: things are looking up Hi Ramona, That is MAJOR, considering the incident AND that she did mow with no OC problems! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, No, we don't see Dr. Penzel. I had just emailed him before. The inositol info I get is from his practice's website, in their articles section. http://www.homestead.com/westsuffolkpsych/index.html Inositol powder had been shown to help trich, but also seems to help some people with OCD. Most info puts it in the B vitamin family. So what type obsessions does your son have? I'm drawing a bit of a blank today, are thoughts the same as obsessions?? > Hi there- I noticed you reccomended Dr Penzel to someone. Guest guest
Thanks Chris- I'll look up the website. Dr penzel seems very nice ( he has a son that is Autistic ) His office and associates are very active in speaking to parents through CHADD and other groups around here. My son just gets obsessional about stuff ( bees for instance ) or he gets an idea/ topic in his head and has a difficult time letting go - will keep coming up repetitively. He does'nt really have compulsions ( although he has some tics ) .... I think TS can put a different spin on oc sometimes. I do have a nephew who also has mild TS but he has more obsession and compulsions. Thanks for the info. on inositol... I am actually thinking of suggesting for my nephew. Guest guest
Wow i cant believe how much has changed. My mom talked to my dad yesterday, and said he wanted to throw out the couch that he had been sleeping on. After that thing was out of the house our symptoms lessened immensely. My mother also ordered us some BP, and ESP soap. AND she is sending me 4 cans of RP. THEN i talked to the local welding shop and the guy traded my 5 pound Co2 tank for a 20 gallon tank for FREE, and filled it for $20!! We tanked the truck last night. Im going to try and find a spray with nylar in it from walmart today, to spray in it. So my prayers were answered! Yes i actually prayed, and didnt melt LOL! Im so happy my dad is starting to feel some relief. And just with listerine and lever 2000 soap left on like ESP soap. Im hoping when we get our supplies, we can just knock it out! You guys have saved me again. Thank you so much! LOVE LOVE LOVE Holly
