Nothing was broken but i have some deep bruises on my thigh and hip." OUCH!! If you can get some, homeopathic arnica ointment is excellent for bruises. Helps them to go faster! Sorry to hear that things are not going so well Tash. Are you able to do much? "How are you?" Same old same old.... I'm hormonal as hell! LOL... but nothing new. As my dr's say abnormal but stable. Guest guest
There is also a homepathic ointment called " Traumeel " which is made by Heel (a european company). It is very good for strains. Our health food store carries it. --- AngelHugs4507@... wrote: > > <<OUCH!! If you can get some, homeopathic arnica > ointment is excellent for > bruises. Helps them to go faster! Guest guest
Hi Tasha, I really hate that whole comparing pains and illnesses thing. I know other people have problems, I know I have problems. It's not a competition to see who can be the worst off. People like that just make it so much more unpleasant for everyone around them. There's no reason for people to do that, other than attention, in my opinion. I complain about my own problems to my husband, who thankfully never plays that comparing game with me, but my complaining to him doesn't solve anything, doesn't even make me feel any better, and only hurts him because he feels helpless for not being able to help me. My husband's aunt is like that, we don't see her very much (thank heavens), it's such a chore to have a conversation with her, it just turns into complaint after complaint, and only HER problems are important, because she has it worse than everyone else. We went out to dinner with her once, and she was complaining like usual, and I piped up and said " It could be worse, you could be like that woman sitting at the next table who has no legs (there was actually a woman at the next table in a wheelchair with no legs). Shut her up for the moment, but she's been extra snotty to me since then. Oh well, sorry I turned your rant into my own, but I just wanted you to know I understand about that whole comparing thing too, and I imagine how draining it is on you. Wish we could all be there to help you absorb some of it. Dave's mom dave is my fiancée) she is really sick, had a mild heart attack they have found tumors on her lungs but they wont operate. So we don't know if there cancerous or what! She also moans. Oh my back this and that ( i hope that doesn't offend anyone. If it does i am really sorry) I understand that she hurts too. But so do Dave and I. But we don't constantly remind one and other on how much we hurt. She is also comparing. I said today 'I didn't even sleep a wink last night because of bad spasms in my back' She said. 'I haven't slept for a week now' If you say My back hurts she'll come up with something like I've been in pain for 15 yrs. Or something to that effect. Dave's pain has increased because he has to over do. He hardly sleeps any either. And he passes out nearly every day Because of pain, Oh yes and everything i say to his mom is WRONG. I told her the other day.' I think you have Rheumatoid arthritis' (sp?). She looked at me and screamed NO i don't ALl i have is Arthritis. I tell her what is going on with her heart medication because i know ALOT about heart troubles because i have Heart problems. She looks at me like i'm full of Poop. Guest guest
Yes dave blacks out. He has had EVERY test you can to see if there is anything growing or swelling. But because he has RSD in his face and neck (that leads to the brain) that is the only conclusion for his black outs. If his pain level is in between 1 - 15 his meds work great! But because of all the over doing and stress around here his pain level is in the 30s even 40s and that is to high for him to handle. We went to the Dr. Yesterday and he gave him some sleeping pills. Will they are anti-depressants with a relaxing effect so he can rest properly at night and maybe be a little more better pain wise the next day. I mean stress and no sleep doesn't do wonders for pain levels!! Dave's mom (rose) was in a fairly good mood today but still moaning. We do really care about her but when she moans and is unfair to us after all we do for her. I think what really gets dave upset is the fact that she never says thank you. Gets me upset to because we do alot. Yes frustrating is the right word to use!! Well my heart is alright so far. But they have increased my blood thickness. I used to have to be in between 2.5 and 3.5 now i have to be in between 3.0 and 3.5. Reason for that is because my artificial valve is starting to leak. Its not dangerous and hopefully i wont need an valve replacement for 2 yrs. But the is only an estiment. I need to have an angiogram (sp?) to get an exact time for operation. I will be having valve replacement all my life. You'd think i'd be ready for another operation (seeing as i already had 7 operations) But i am scared shitless (sorry for the swear word) This is a pretty serious operation. No i'm not sleeping much, By the time the NIGHT is over (i feel like i'm working from 8am to 10pm she keeps us doing this til well in the evening!) I feel so drained and tired but i can't sleep. My mind wont shut off. And when i do fall asleep i wake up with leg spasms or back spasms. Dave to has bad spasms. When i wrote all that i did, i felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders, and i felt alot better :-) Thanks a lot for being there for me. He knows when he is going to pass out, He always trys to sit down he some times makes it but sometimes he doesn't and he falls on the floor. No his passes out is caused from his RSD in his face and neck, he has told me the part in that area caused by RSD is always 10 times worse then it is in his legs or the other areas he has RSD. Why does your hubby pass out? caused by pain or seizures? "No his passes out is caused from his RSD" What is RSD hon? Has he had a lumbar puncture? (Spinal tap?) Is he being seen by a neurologist? "Well my heart is alright so far." My mother in law had that, its when they blow up a vein or artery like a balloon to look around isn't it? I remember her saying that she had to lye still for 6 hours after and couldn't move at all... "I will be having valve replacement all my life. You'd think I'd be ready for another operation (seeing as I already had 7 operations) But I am scaredshitless" God babe I'd be scared shitless also. I am scared when I only have to have an IV of something let alone major heart surgery! You've had seven? You are really young too aren't you? Like 17 or 18? I don't think you are ever ready for an operation! *angel kisses* "No I'm not sleeping much, By the time the NIGHT is over (I feel like I'mworking from am to 10pm she keeps us doing this til well in theevening!) Guest guest
So far so good, we are getting bad weather tomorrow. Yes very tiresome, We all so very tired and i am thinking maybe if i go for a nap now? Will i sleep? So after this message i am going to try, I have looked at some and alot of them mess around with my coumadin and i need my coumadin to survive. Well i am off to try and sleep Love & Hugs Tasha Aisha Elderwyn wrote: "Me too, because i was beginning to get really depressed. I mean its hard enough living with pain and fatigue 24/7. But to hear about it every second of the day is pretty hard. Does that sound mean? " Absolutely not!!!!! We all live with it and some days we need to vent and whine, but not constantly - that is just tiresome. "I can't have sleeping meds. All the ones i can have are the ones that make you feel like you have a hang over. Which really sucks." Mega sucks - even after a few days when your brain chemistry has balanced and gotten used to the med do you still get the hungover feeling? I know it took me like 6 weeks to get used to the amitriptyline at night. Just a thought. Wonder if there is something else that could help? Like aromatherapy or something? Although if you are migraine sufferer the last thing you'd want is smells I guess :-( How are the floods hon? Staying away? Love isha The Being Sick Community Visual problems with colors? Everyone here is supposed to feel well! :-) "I am in a lot of pain." Poo :-( You are way to young to be in pain, its not fair. Do you know what causes your pain? "Even my hair on the top of my head hurts!! Ever get that??" Constantly - I havent been able to wash my hair since 1998 because of the agony. I cant brush my hair (and its way long) so when the tangles get too much I have to hand pick out the knotts! LOL But this leaves my head so sore that I am usually flattened for 48 hours. I hate it :-( (especially as I am vain and love nice hair! lol) *blah* to all pain!! *gentle hugs* Love Aisha
Guest guest
Tasha, You poor girl!! *hugs* I get migraines sometimes, and then, and when I was in labor with my kiddos, even my hair hurt. That's a really sucky feeling. I remember when I was in labor with Gracie, my ex kept trying to rub my head, you know, like run his hand over my hair?? It hurt so bad it drove me nuts and I finally snapped at him. Later, he kept pushing on my belly while I was having contractions, and I finally told him if he fucking touched me one more time, I was gonna kill him. lol Hope you feel better today, hon. *hugs* Tasha wrote: > No i never got to nap!!!!
