Judy, this is why I hang around this forum. This crap just keeps spreading and effecting so many. Thank you for the prayers. I pray for every person posting on this site. I look forward to the day when each person can post "I slept without feeling them" etc. I can't even stand the thought of this getting on my grandchildren. They are so afraid of poison. When I would tell them what we were doing here to get rid of this mess their eyes would roll. They kept this from me for a month now. She is really bad today so my son called. I told them about the ways to some what control the "things" and they are going to use the salt, oils and Clorox and betadine. What I have learned is not making me feel very good about the way they are handling this. 3 children and 2 adults and she is the only one with the bites and rash. Time will tell but I sure feel worried. Rita

Rita: It could be that the dog is the carrier, and that eventually the kids may get it from the dog. I am sorry about this, and I know how worried you are. You will be able to help them. What helps in their circumstances, is that they are young and can overcome this easier than what you and your husband went through. Again, I'm sorry, Rita.

Dear God Rita this is horrible news. Mel may be right. I wonder if there isn't

some way you can talk them into boarding the dog at the vet and having him

treated there. Here's hoping this mess gets nipped in the bud soon.

Thanks Mel....they have really been working. The dog is getting regular treatments at the vet. They bought a dog house and have moved the dog outside. They are trying and I hope it pays off. We all know that with this skin mess not all treatments work for everyone so I hope they find their own way through this mess. Rita

I'm sorry too Rita. It is so unfair. At least they have you to help them, if anyone can it's you.

Thanks for the good thoughts.....they have done a lot so far since they know what we have been through. I just hope it is something like allergies.....time will tell. Rita

Thanks, if it is not allergies it will take a little time for them to understand that this "thing" has to be hit hard. They have done a lot so far. Dog moved out doors. Floors and walls washed down with a miticide, seeing doctors left and right. What an ordeal......seems life is like a box of chocolates.....etc, etc, etc !!!!!!!!!!! Rita

Rita -

She should see an allergy specialist, where they test for specific things. A

regular doc will not try to break it down, just write it off as " allergies " . If

there is a chance that it is an allergy, it would be good to know for sure

through specific testing.

Rita. that is good that they have moved the dog outside. i know the kids must hate it that the dog is outside. has anyone done the "test" on the dog. run their hands through the coat really good and see if they feel bites a few minutes after??? that's a sure sign, it's some kind of mite. Well, if she is the only one that feels the mites, she should do that "test" on the dog.
