Guest guest
Hi I have morgellons, and can't "see" fibers anymore since I got rid of my microscope. When I had the scope, I put a piece of chapped lip under it and there was a colbalt blue fiber embedded. I could not see with my eye. So it is VERY possible to have morgellons and not see or notice fibers. Also, fiber production seems to have come to a stop for me except for the occasional one I may see that is a very thin short white/clear fiber that I can easily say came from my sheets or towels. But I never know if it is really from textile or "ME" because I did see with my own eyes fibers from my skin/lips. Now, I never had a bad fiber infestation but I do have systemic Morgellons/lyme symptoms. Do people with "bird mite" infection also get system probems? I didn't feel the systemic problems until approx. two and a half years (2 1/2) since the "beginning" of morgellons symptoms. From: judyr430280 <jreynolds009@...>Subject: Results of biopsiesbird mites Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 12:43 PM My sister-in-law just received her report from the biopsies. The doctor, a professor at the university, reported that 1 was consistent with an insect bite, the others were not. (She told me the one that was not consistent with an insect bite was different from all the others she's had, and could have been an isolated bite not related to this.) Surprisingly, he did say that this could be Morgellons, although she felt at times he was cautious with how he phrased his thoughts. He gave her the name of a doctor who will treat for Morgellons. He said that treatment can include a psychiatric drug which often relieves symptoms. He was very sympathetic and very frustrated that he had so little to offer her. When he took the biopsies, he asked her permission to use the findings in his class, so he at least has been receptive to the possibility of this diagnosis, and she noted that he seemed very aware of the dilemma surrounding this affliction. I'm disappointed that the results of the biopsies didn't reveal more information than it did so I might have some encouraging news. From the beginning of her infestation 9 months ago, the only measures she has taken are to apply hydrogen peroxide to her bites and bathe in Epsom salts. She has not treated her environment, nor taken any of the precautions in the environment that most of us take to keep them from spreading. My questions are: 1) Do some people get Morgellons right away from these things, 2) if left untreated, is it likely that Morgellons will develop more quickly, 3) is Morgellons inevitable if this situation continues for a long time, and 4) are the two situations one and the same? We've been so busy trying to eradicate these creatures from our lives, that I focused much of my attention there. I have read a little about Morgellons during my searching, but since we never saw any fibers or colored things, I thought perhaps ours was a different situation. Now I'm not sure. I only used a magnifying glass, not a microscope, which I need to get, so I'm not sure whether we may have overlooked something like this. However, our bites didn't go beyond the little red dots, unlike my sis-in-law, who from the beginning developed the sores and found things in them. I thought this might be attributed to her scratching, and on only one occasion I had a nodule that when scratched, seemed to release something that appeared as a tiny, white partial grain of rice. And now, my husband has developed sores on his neck which he scratches, not so much from itching but because they bother him.I realize that many of you are so far advanced into your research and are on a different level than we are at this time. I appreciate your patience with those of us who haven't reached that level of understanding, and am so grateful for all that you share. Any thoughts would be appreciated.….. Guest guest
Judy, a friend of mine in Fla. soaks cotton balls in Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar then tapes to nodules overnight. She said hers were dropping off. Haven't talks with her lately to know if this is continuing, but it's worth a try. Guest guest
Dear Joan, It certainly IS! I'm going to get this - it's been mentioned as a skin remedy in a few recipes posted here and also taken in tablet form with some good results. Thanks! .... Guest guest
Dear , In our case, my sister-in-law developed the same symptoms we had after sleeping over at our home during Hurricane Ike. We thought at that time we had a bad flea problem and warned her of this but she really didn't want to stay at her house alone. She slept on our sofa which had also become a target for the pests. After we finally figured out it wasn't fleas and began to treat the environment and us, we think this may have kept our skin from developing the sores that she quickly began to develop because she did not take any measures to attempt to get rid of them in the environment, and the only treatment for skin she used was epsom salt baths, which has helped. The odd thing is that she hasn't seemed to be affected in the same way we have - she felt the same crawling and noticed bites, but didn't seem to become obsessed as we have with taking all the measures to try to eliminate them and along the way, it seemed we were not a lot better off than she was without doing a thing! However, we did notice brief lulls - days and weeks without feeling any of these things - so it seems like our efforts are beginning to pay off finally. We're able to sleep at night and haven't had the facial crawlies. I still "feel" like they're not totally gone however, and we're getting ready to apply Bifen IT and the Bifen granules outside, and have ordered NH2 soap and will begin various skin purging and possibly the Revoxil.A post to this note: under the list of diagnoses listed in the results of her lab report, the doctor actually put Morgellons with a (?). It is all such a confusing thing - hard to figure. But since her symptoms coincided with the bird mite infestation I believe it is connected in some way. But still leaves so many question. What type of systemic symptoms have you had? .... Judy Re: Results of biopsies Hi I have morgellons, and can't "see" fibers anymore since I got rid of my microscope.
