FIT VS. FAT

Thursday, 29 December 2011

So let me ask...can you be both? By that, I

mean can you be both FIT and FAT?

I think that's a really important question. So, let's

discuss it further, shall me?

Some people who're

overweight convince themselves that exercise is a

waste of time.

See, some people who're overweight or obese just about

live by the excuse that, because they weigh so much,

they've convinced themselves that exercise is a waste

of time. Oh, they keep right on eating like they want

and don't make working out a part of their lives...at

all. But

may I tell you something?

You'd be surprised how many students I have at Slimmons who,

while they're fighting to lose weight, still make

exercise a daily part of their lives. (Hey, how do

you think they end up reaching their goals in the

first place?) But here's something else. When I

watch those students sweatin' in class, I'm always so

impressed at how good they can move, in spite

of what they weigh. So, what's my point?

Well, keep reading.

Even as you're working to lose weight, it doesn't mean

you can't be more fit than someone who weighs as much

as you may weigh right now. So-o-o-o...out with

that excuse for not working out! And...get

this.

According to a Time magazine

story, a study of 14,345 men found that, no matter how

much they weighed, those guys who stayed fit by

working out regularly lowered their risk of dying from

heart disease by as much as 30%!

That's compared to those men who never work

out at

all and

allow their bodies to get out of shape.

I don't want you to be fat

but...I do want

you to be as FIT!

Look, I don't want you to be fat any more than you

want to be. But...I do want you to be

as FIT as you can be, no matter

what you weigh. And that means

being fit even as you're working to reach your

weight-loss goal.

So hey, looks like to me like you've got one more

reason to hit the gym next year. And remember, no

matter how much you weigh, you can still work hard to

make that body of yours...FIT!

Love,
