Guest guest
, that is wonderful news, indeed. I'm so happy for you! De Faith is the ability to not panic. good news! Good morning everyone, I have been sitting here checking out which of my old programs can be loaded into XP and grumbling. On one hand I am so very happy my old guy decided that putting a new computer on the charge card was the lesser of two evils... my possibly being computerless was the other option. I was grumbling because he will fork out for a computer... but not a dime for my medical expenses. Sigh... does not make me feel high priority to say the least, although I know he loves me. We have always divided our expenses into his & hers, no arguments over checkbooks and such this way. That and he is still against my taking treatments. Anyway, about the time I was really letting myself feel down; Pegasys returned my call from last week concerning my benefits. They did get a hold of my insurance and it is really good news. It seems there is a ceiling on my prescriptions... I don't understand (I went into overload again) exactly how they divvy it all up, but after I spend another $300 the meds will go onto major medical and will be covered 100%! I am in tears here... the only stipulation is that the shots must be done in the doctors office. I will need to discuss this with them, but I am sure they will allow me to sit somewhere to give myself the shots, no need for an office call? I am going to call my NP and ask her to call me back... this means I can start very soon. I think I will wait a month as school will be starting in two weeks. It might be best to get settled back into a work routine before starting. The deductible will start over again in January, will find out exactly how this all worked before then, but I have breathing room here in LaLa Land! Just needed to tell someone! Guest guest
Thanks De... I sure am glad I made that phone call to Pegasys. I was on the phone three times with my insurance company and was never told this. Guess you have to know the right person to talk to. Have a great evening, , that is wonderful news, indeed. Guest guest
, Thats great news! I am really happy for you. Believe me, I know what its like to be on that rollercoaster. Olivia's been so close to surgery, many times....Then we go back for films, and the curve had either maintained, or improved a little. Always considered good news in my home.. Cranial Sacral Therapy is a very gentle treatment and I try taking Olivia to her Cranial Sacral Therapist often, but not as much as I'de like to. But make sure you understand it. We found out a few years ago that the Social Services Disability program was worded such that if these trough levels jumped into normal range after administration of IVIG -- they would discontinue IVIG. NO. NO. NO. The reason it's in normal range is because you are giving him pure IgG! That's what it is supposed to do. What it does mean is that you should start to see a better clinical picture -- less infections, less fatigue and muscle aches and better overall health. That's great news! Katy's troughs were checked every 6 months because the immune system is constant changing and kids are constantly growing and needed a change in dosage. You may see this number drop if he has a growth spurt -- which would mean he needs an increase in dosage. You may see this number continue to rise slightly as his body becomes satuated with IgG the way it should. Hope that helps, In His service, dale
Guest guest
That is great, things got so much better as soon as he saw his therapist. I also saw her separately, to help me learn to cope. Good News! My wife called the OCD specialist back and asked if there were any way to expedite when we first meet. The Dr. got on the phone with her and asked a lot of good and caring questions, then asked her to bring my son in tomorrow afternoon. Although I cannot be there, it was a great relief to know that we do not have to wait a whole month. -Hillery > > > In a message dated 4/25/2007 10:01:54 A.M. Guest guest
That is great news, Hillery. We looked for a therapist for almost 3 months. Waiting just gave the OCD and anxiety a chance to grow, in spite of the meds. I'm glad for you and your son. BJ > > > > > > In a message dated 4/25/2007 10:01:54 A.M. Guest guest
Hi, Zoe! I am glad for you that you are in remission. But my pressing question is, " Why weren't you protected (by Kombucha) from even developing the illness? " I am a long-time user of Kombucha (ProNatura brand) capsules, or the Kombucha ferment if I am ambitious enough to brew it, CHIEFLY to avoid the colon cancer I feel I am strongly genetically pre-disposed to, which took the lives of my dear grandmother and my aunt. Good luck in your continued recovery. My prayers are with you. Ann
Guest guest
Ann, Very good question !! I too was puzzled and then became aware that this was a wake up call. I had been feeling much too safe and forgetting that a Higher Power is actually in CHARGE. None of my health measures prevented the disease. They were however instrumental in a speedy recovery and the comeback. Kombucha may very well protect you from colon cancer or even many other types, but this was AML Leukemia, the most aggressive and virulent of all the Cancers and had to be treated in a totally different manner. The best efforts that modern medicine had to offer were not even enough, but that coupled with all the Prayers seem to have done the job. During the chemo I was ordered to abandon all my herbal and natural remedies in case they would interfere with the chemo, but as soon as the chemo was finished I was back with the KT, Kefir, Garlic and dietary and nutritional regime. Am I discouraged about their use? - NO -- not at all. Had my body not been in otherwise optimal condition, I may not have survived the chemo at all and especially when it went TOXIC. I am back on my normal health routine and regime, complimented with a couple new things that have since been added- plus a renewed awareness that WE are not actually in control of anything- tis only the Higher Power who allows us to think so.
