HI Chris:

How great that Kelsey's tummy problem is so easy to solve. Nothing like a

bit of a physical problem which is so easily solved. Gives us quite a break

from the mental difficulties which are often so much more intractable.

I think Jim has been reminding us that we need to drink water, water,

water. Well I am off to get my h2o. Take care, aloha, Kathy (Ha)

Kate this is great news!!!! I know you are going to make a great

pharmacist. I would love to go to pharmacy school, meds are my favorite

part of nursing, but I know I couldnt make it through the math classes that

are required or the chemistry either. The lab part is what gets me. I

wont even go near a bunson burner!! Im terrified of any gas.... I mean

badly.... you wont catch me ever lighting a gas grill. I cant even be near

one when someone else is lighting it. I wont cook on a gas stove, when we

lived on post last year for 6 months I never once cooked anything unless it

was in the microwave...we ate out alot!!! I get made fun of all the time

over my fear of natural gas or propane gas but I dont care it scares me to

death. I think Id rather face a Grizzly Bear than to light a grill

Anyway, I know you are ecstatic about this!!!!!

I will have about 2 years of pre-reqs to get out of the way, and then it is 4

years or graduate school. When I am finished I will have a Doctorate of

Pharmacy.

The way I figured it, I could work my butt off for the next 6 years and end

up with pretty much what I have now, or I could work my butt off for the next

6 years and end up with and earning potential of nearly, if not, 6 figures.

When you think of it that way, it makes the decision very easy. And since 1)

the plaquenil makes having kids for a few years out of the question and 2)

they just started an extension of the University of Florida Pharmacy school

not 5 miles from my house -- I think the big guy upstairs was telling me

something!

So here I go -- -and thank you everyone for your encouragement... Just

think, by the time I get there, I will need those tax deductions and I think

you know where the $ will be going! :)

Hey Kate, when you said about waiting on having kids because of the

plaquenil I was wondering how old you are? I was thinking you were somewhere

between 25 and 30 right? Anyway, I wish my doctors had told me this earlier

about how your fertility declines after age 28 !!! I always thought you

were fine til late 30's. Plus autoimmune diseases can affect your fertility

too, so can the methotrexate. These are things doctors usually dont tell

you, I guess from their point of view, getting us better, saving our lives

and keeping our joints from being destroyed is more important than our

ability to be able to bear children, so I understand that. Ive met alot of

women my age (31) with RA whose fertilty has been affected.

I am 29.... And yeah, I know about the fertility thing... It just really

isn't in the cards for us right now, and if I can't have kids by the time I

am done with school, well, then maybe I will have to give some kids who need

a good home one to live in. Cross that bridge when I get there I guess, but

in the mean time, make the best of it...

Thanks Jen

Thanks nne!

How funny, I was just on your weblog. I hadn't been

in a while and checked it out. Sorry to hear of

Jeff's co-worker. I will be thinking of him & his

family.

So you knew from BB#1? That is way cool! I saw

another of your friends knows Krista from BB#2. I am

rooting for either or le this time around.

Josh has got to go! Will was a sneak last year, but

I didn't find him annoying. Josh is just downright

annoying. Hoping he walks out tonight! LOL!

I also sent that cool clock site to . He loves to

pass that kind of thing on to his friends.

Stay cool and I hope all is going well with you!

Thanks ! I hope all goes well with the new store

for you!

Between you & Shaye and your wholesale accounts you

are very inspiring. Depending on how this goes for me

I may actually work up the nerve to approach some

shops. Of course that won't happen anytime soon!

LOL!

That's great news. I know what you mean about the heat. I have a very

unique gift shop that sells artisans works and she's interested in my products.

She wants me to bring in some samples as soon as I " start creating " again

when this heat quits. It's in a pretty ritsy town so it may go well.

I have a guy building me a new computer and I'll have a black & white

laser printer, photo quality color printer, scanner, digital camera, the works.

My grant money is paying for it all. So I'll finally be able to take some

pictures

when I want to show my soaps to you guys.

Congrats again on the account!!

Good news!

Hey everyone! How's everyone doing today? I know,

it's too hot to breathe let alone make soap. Dh just

called and wanted to know if I had plans for tonight.

I said, " yeah, going to your parents house to use the

pool!!! "

Anywho, my good news! I got my first wholesale

account last night! I'm pretty excited about it and

hope it goes well. It's an online company, the owner

is local. He'll be selling my products on his site,

paying me the wholesale price and shipping costs. I

will be shipping direct to his customer so no

advertising my company on my part. But the way I

figure it, my products will be out there and sales

will increase, so I'll still be making money. Works

for me!

Now I just need this weather to cool down so I can

make some soap because I need pics of my stuff for

him. Kills two birds with one stone though because

I've been after dh for months to do pics for my new

website. The website that was supposed to be done by

March 1st! Maybe by September 1st now? LOL!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying as cool as

possible!

Hi all, I just wanted to post and thank you all for

your wonderful

ideas and great help. Sorry I haven't posted much

lately. I have

been really busy with my soaps. I took all my best

soaps, lotions,

and body scrubs out to show local craft store owners.

I took them to

three shops here in town. They were really impressed

and at the

first store called 's Honey I am displaying my

honey soaps. She

really liked them. Then I took them to a local

interior design

store. It is a very up scale type of store, with alot

of home decore

items. The owner fell in love with my Love Potion

lotion. She also

loved my pop rock bath fizzies. She also liked my

Martha

soap. It just looks like something she would own. It

is light green

and chunky, really cute. Needless to say, She bought

$250 dollars

worth of those things with wholesale prices. She is

going to make

mothers day baskets with them. This is the first time

she has ever

sold these type of things in her store. So I hope it

sales Great!

If so she will order more. Then I took my stuff to a

local craft

store that has booths that local people sale their

stuff. The owners

really liked my things and I was going to do

consignment with them,

but they are giving me my own booth with only taking

consignment

percentages for three months. She wants me to have a

trial run to

see if it makes a profit for me to use a booth in her

store. There

are no other soaps etc. being sold in that store, so

hopefully it

will go well for me. I am in the process at the

moment of filling

that wholesale order. Then I am going to start to get

my booth stuff

ready. Is there anyone who is saleing soaps this way

on the board?

If so I would love to share ideas with you.

Thanks so much,
