THE HAPPIEST

PLACE ON EARTH!

Wednesday, 18 April 2012

Any of you who've ever visited Disneyland

here in Southern California are probably familiar with

those words. There's a big sign outside the

park making that declaration: Disneyland:

The Happiest Place on Earth!

And oh boy, do I ever have some happy memories of

Disneyland. My parents took by brother, Lenny and I

there not long after the park opened. I was so happy

being at Disneyland that I slipped away from my

parents and tried to stay there! Dang! If only that

security guard hadn't found me and brought me back to

my mother and father. I'd probably still be living in

The Magic Kingdom to this day! LOL.

On most days, just how

happy...are you?

I bring up the Happiest Place on Earth today because,

I'm wondering, on most days, just how happy...are

you? Oh

sure, happiness is just one of our emotions and, it's

simply human nature, we can't be happy all the

time. But the bottom line is that too many of us

spend our time not enjoying the emotion of

happiness. How

many of you devote more of your waking hours to being

sad, angry, or depressed? Well, may I tell you

something? Those emotions are okay and there are

times when we need to go through the tough times that

usually bring them on. But it's when we dwell on

being sad and blue all the time that we get ourselves

into a constantly bad emotional state of mind.

But my favorite

emotion is happiness! And get this, researchers at

the University of Illinois have found there is

solid evidence that happy people tend to live

longer and

are generally healthier than people

who spend their time feeling

down all

the time. So, where

do you fit in?

I'm willing to bet, you

have more things to be happy about than you realize.

I'm willing to bet, you have more things to be happy

about than you realize. You just need to sit back,

look at your life and see how many reasons you have to

smile and be happy everyday. Here are a few

pointers to help you do just that.

-Make a list of the new items you can be grateful for

everyday.

-Look for ways to show gratitude to each person who

helps make you happy in some way.

-Learn not to hold grudges--(an important part of

being happy).

-Invest more time and energy in your family and

friends.

-Try to smile and laugh more...they're both great for

your attitude and good health

-Speaking of health, work at improving your good

health. Including an hour of daily

sweatin' in

your day is the perfect way to do it.

Spend less time moping and

more time coping!

Feeling better? Believe me, you've got reasons to!

Spend less time moping and more time coping! Your

happiness depends on it. And, God knows, I want you

to be...one of the happiest people on earth!

Love,
